Where are Nigeria's 92.6 million internet users? What apps do they use? What websites do they visit?

Here is my idea - Use Alexa.com and check top websites by country (Nigeria), you will get a very good idea on what websites they visit most.
Use Google Playstore and check top apps - you will see indigenous apps that receive most download in Nigeria.
This is a very good question as it would help you test your internet business ideas and gauge market acceptability before launch.

Alexa isnât accurate. Jumia / Konga are not the most visited websites in Nigeria.
Naij.com is the most visited.

Happy September and thank you for the feedback but personally, I donât think Alexa works for mobile devices. I checked Mobile Opera Blog because they are concentrated in Nigeria.
Thank you for your answers and replies, Happy September as well. Im trying to build something but I donât actually know what to build. What I donât understand is how the news claims that Nigerian has over 90 million internet users (which gives me hope and keeps me optimistic), but yet about 1/90th of that only use the internet, which misleads me. Like Im trying to connect with the other 89/90th.

According to similar web , Naij.com got 42.2million Desktop visit in July 2015 , out of which 39.57% was from Nigeria. Thatâs just for desktop , not to talk of mobile visits.
Its very hard to verify this as most of these top sites donât reveal their traffic stats but Naij.com should be top , considering how much publicity theyâve done.

Thank you for the details and Happy September. What amazes me is how no local apps are in the top apps used by Nigerians, but when you go to developed countries like USA or China, their people support their local apps and always comes out on top.

42.2 million monthly is not bad but thats around 1.4 million daily. I hope itâs not the same 1 - 1.5 million but then again that is just the desktop version. I wonder what the mobile version statistics will be, since more Nigerians have a mobile device than a computer or laptop.
I share your sentiment, and posted something similar to what youâre saying here: Why arenât Nigerian mobile games conquering the app store?

The best way to evaluate the number of functional internet users in Nigeria is to look at facebook target Ad or Google adwords Target Ad.
Facebook says the are 14million internet users in Nigeria.
As regards mobile apps, I donât think these reports will give you the good picture.
The app installs count is the closest but it does not capture the number of interactions that occur between the app and the users.
