Hi Radars,
Been following most of the topics here and its really awesome getting to know great stuff people are doing out there. Thankfully, we have been working on something as well, so i thought to share with you.
We’ve been working on a full-fledged escrow payment option for e-commerce for a long while now, the benefit being that, it has allowed us to see how the market has evolved and to tailor the solution accordingly to satisfy both parties.
For buyers, you can now get your items specs delivered or get a refund without stories. You won’t be taken for granted anymore.
Now you can feel even more comfortable carrying on with those transactions and payments that usually gives you doubts and second thoughts.
For sellers, once we receive payments, you will be notified to go ahead and fulfil the order with a 100% assurance that you will be credited once there’s proof of delivery. It’s the better alternative to Pay-on-delivery/Cash-on-delivery.
Go ahead and make your customers more comfortable dealing with you by adding an a full-fledged escrow service to your payment options.
PayScrow ensures both parties are committed to a transaction and payment is only made after agreed obligations have been fulfilled.
All PayScrow payments are processed with a PCI/DSS Certified payment processor and funds are warehoused in a CBN Licensed Deposit Money Bank.
I can pay jumia for a service/product before I get it because they are reputable. But what if someone on radar claims he can deliver something to me? Should I just pay before I get the item? Or should he deliver to me a total stranger with panicking?
@sugabelly, Pay on delivery doesn’t have to die really…we only believe that people should have a lot more options regarding payment rather than being boxed into 2 options only (i. POD or ii. Upfront card payment). From time to time, there’s always that one transaction that could make you feel awkward for whatever reason. You should be a able to find safety in continuing by using an escrow service as a payment option instead of pulling out entirely, especially if you really wanted the service or item. That’s our thoughts. People should just have more options and use them as the need arises…
If you use PayScrow, you would have paid to show your commitment to the transaction, then he will be notified of your payment and be motivated to deliver, knowing he has nothing to panic about, he will only worry if he/she advertised one product and brought another and you don’t approve of it. Both parties need to respect each other and show commitment to that. Again, that’s our thoughts. Really appreciate your feedback. cheers
@Ekpedeme_Ekpe i think your site is currently unavailable… i would like to take a peek. Escrow services are generally a good idea, not only for ecommerce but also for fx if you are into buying e-money for various online transactions etc. But with everything finance, you have to establish trust
@ValentineO. That’s a little strange, please try checking again, as we can see it live from here. Yes, I get the point about the fx trades, we’ll look into this as we go along. Thanks for the feedback. Nice one man.
@davidoladeji. Thanks David, We made some changes and are updating the docs. It will be available in a couple of hours. Plugins are ready as well, we are finalizing our testing on that as well. Thanks you.
@davidoladeji. So sorry, i should have gotten back to you earlier than now. Plugins and documentation had been made available. Apologies for the delayed response.
Wow, this is nice, great business model, but you need to gain trust first. i’ll advice you go out yourself or send cold calls to small or growing e commerce sites so as to build that trust that you guys are already in use…
