Uber for Sex

I had an idea while looking at this post and wondered if anyone would be interested in building it.

Note: Morally ambiguous area ahead, if you’re a hard-liner on morals…stop here.

tl;dr: Uber For Sex with the usability of Tinder

A platform that allows people to be either buyers or sellers of sex, reducing the risk of sex-related robberies/murder, fraud and venereal diseases.

A free tier would allow a person list their needs/services and they can chat with prospectives to clinch the deal, no safe-zone service, no VD testing, no emergency cover.

A paid tier means users get to pay a premium to access the VIPs, User would undergo a test with a certified VD lab technician and the lab send the result to us, test expire every six months, safe zones are provided, this are hotels and hangout spots that know to look out for and respond to suspicious activity and clinching the deal is done with us as escrow service. Arbitration is entered when paying party isn’t satisfied.

Your thoughts? Flesh it out.

Please don’t moralize in the replies

Great Idea, I am actually working on something along that line.

The only problem I am thinking of is payments, I doubt any payment gateway will like to work with an app/website like that. Nigeria is still a largely morally hypocritical country.

Flee from sexual immorality- 1 Cor 6:18
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord- Rom 6:23

Sorry bro. Couldn’t help myself.

I am this guy and the underlying banks don’t care for your type of business as long as there are no fraud reports traced to you. I was speaking to someone doing some innovative work in Power/Energy and he mentioned that they were spoiled for choice now where payments is concerned, from Paystack to KongaPay and even a gateway like Flutterwave mixing it up.

The operational details of an idea like this is the key I think.

You would have to stop being Nigerian to help yourself.

I totally agree, but the number of people running the other way is what birthed the idea.

Diamond Bank processes payments for the online sex shop - Zee Virtual Media. The integration was somewhat broken the last time I used them though and they couldn’t confirm the payment until two days later or something.

Loool dude. How about an Uber for deliverance? People running the other way or people who know people running the other way could ask for deliverance from such obsessions. You could offer a service similar to www.confessam.com and then offer to deliver them using your network of powerful men of God. Choi !!!

I’d leave that one to you, you probably have more problem domain experience in the spiritual deliverance sector.

Open a thread, get like-minded people on it.

One doesn’t stop the other, I run Pray For Me and I am still building something related to what the OP suggested.

Great idea, if I wasn’t married, I would definitely be a user.

I would say, remove the free tier. Make this for serious people from the get go, no need for randoms. One thing that might prove tricky is buyers wanting anonymity, how do you make that happen and still ensure it is an open and safe system?

Too long for me.

What’s in it for them? Cash, patronage?

Who determines satisfaction level? Buyer says I no cum, seller says I put in work for 2 hours. Are sellers going to list their offerings and prices?

@Tola had some ideas when a similar thread about selling sex online came up, i’m sure he’ll be willing to do some consulting for you

As with so many things online, there’s a lot of work to do offline.

The devil is in the details.

The free tier is where the value proposition is propositioned and in my experience Nigerians love free things or things that look like they are free…you should see e-commerce metrics when free shipping is activated, it’s like magic.

Test expiry! Hmm, I think a service buyer could force a seller to get new test results as part of negotiations. Cost is on the buyer. But the system would force a user to renew test results every 6 months.

For partner labs, its money obviously. for hotels and hangout spot, its continued patronage. Might have to hack the value proposition a bit but it should get easier if growth kicks in.

Arbitration is “at our discretion” and like in your example, we pay the seller and probably offer the buyer some sort of discount on their next purchase. [quote=“Lamidi_b_a, post:10, topic:8245”]

Trust, we will have to gain their trust so we can keep their contact and payment informations sigh. There are No Easy Days.

Ditch the tests as it makes things more complicated and you are assuming risks for things that you can’t control. If a punter is not aware of protection in 2016 then he is better off with HIV.

You should focus on verifying the suppliers as it is a buyers market. Premium services should include the ability for a punter to see the supplier’s phone number, FaceTime ID, review ratings and other tangible virtual assets that you have 100% control over. That way, you will be able to make sure that the punter has good value for his or her money.

HTH and all the best…

Pun intended, no doubt.

Oshey,

Agbere to the world!

I’m in man… I ready give you my card. But sha don’t pack Ojuelegba or Obalende ashana put for there.

E go cast anyhow.

Put confam chicks wey tight and dem just wan flex not into ‘ashi tinz’. I can be ur curator. The platform should be strictly for coded people not ‘tun tun gba’ boyz n girlz.

Is that legal in Nigeria? Wouldn’t it violate some form of prostitution law, or don’t we have any of those? Where are the lawyers on radar?

What’s uber about it? You want to develop an escort service/app like the millions around already, I think that’s simple enough too.

NOOOOOOO. Everybody is doing Uber for something these days. Even Uber. For example, Paystack is like Uber, but for payments.

LOL, I just wanted to get the skinny.

I LOL’d so much I nearly fell into the damned WC, nice one man.

Laughter over;

I would definitely love to hear the legal angle, although I don’t think sex between consenting adults is illegal.[quote=“lawwyy, post:17, topic:8245”]

Nope, escort service is like retail, this is a marketplace.

That’s your elevator pitch right there. :joy:
