The top ten places Nigerians (Lagosians) are Ubering to

Ahn ahn.

Why can’t it just be that most people who can afford these “expensive” places are the ones that can afford uber?

Why all this kpansh talk?

your point of view can be sexist. they aren’t mutually exclusive

In all honesty and jokes aside this data just describes the patterns of Aristo girls. Trust me I am 100% sure on this one. The guys who can afford to frequent these places have cars.

How many times do you see a guy taking an uber to these places,

I think people try to avoid Ubers for long distance and I’m certain pick up point for most uber users is on the Island

You sound confident like you were the one that came up with the data? And are people still using the word "Aristo’ [First I’d see or encounter the word since I left college!]

I am A GUY, I have car and still do Uber an average of 3 times a week, so y’ll can stop with gender hook already

I’m willing to bet that Uber has more female customers than male sha. Whether those women are doing whatever @youngbobby suggested is a matter for another day.

I am having a big problem agreeing with you that [Palms, ICM, Lafayette Malls & The Place] are expensive, Even with 10k you will have a good time at Adrenaline, Soul & Eko Hotel.

Disclaimer:

The 10k doesn’t apply if you invited a girl over o

Y’ll know it takes 2 to ‘Kpansh’ tho, so quit picking on the ladies because they arent ‘Kpanshing’ all by themselves :ghost:

Why do you use an Uber about 3 times a week?

This thing has become somehow.

Data can be inferred wrongly or rightly especially when no one has access to the active users report from Uber to know if more males or females use them.

Lets use the Best terms for the Data: Shopping, Clubbing and Relaxation/Business thats the best way to infer the data and lets give it a rest.

 You sound like my mum would if she found I indulge in uber so much, okay to your question I use uber for the following reasons.

Number 1 reason

Once I get to the office and park my car, the fear of loosing that parking spot gives me the wisdom to leave it there till closing time or I loose it anytime I tinker with it[car] by driving to meetings so Uber for my meetings outside the office [that will be Ikoyi to places like VI, Lekki & Lagos Island]

Other reasons include laziness to drive, impatience to drive along traffic prone awolowo road in ikoyi et al.

I think this is a deliberate and intentional inference, If we ask people to raise up their hands now asking "how many of you take an uber? there will be more guys than ladies!

If we go by this then the scale will probably tilt in a balanced way, except the people insisting on ‘Kpansh’ et al as their core inference from the data would agree that the Ladies do more of all [Shopping, Clubbing, Business and Relaxation] than guys.

Like i just said, YOU and ME do not have access to the User Adoption numbers from Uber, as long as we dont it is quite wrong to say 1 group is more than the other simply because you feel so but looking at the places themselves and what people go there to do you can rightly say Shopping( because people shop at Ikeja, Palms and Lafayette), Clubbing( The Place, Soul Lounge et al), Relaxation( All 10 places are relaxation spos), Business( Some of the Hotel Lounges and Malls can act as business meeting spots).

Again, i wont bother saying males use more than females and vice versa, i dont know they can even be Equal.

I think this kinda settles it, its neither here nor there. Bottom line is that Uber is helping people to move their ministries

Using uber 3 times a week would mean (asuuming each day use is back and forth)…at least 5,000 x 3 = 15,000 weekly, 60,000 monthly

This doesn’t add up for someone who owns a car. Are you sure your car is in working order?

Oga, calm down

lool…abeg educate me… i never used uber i expect a journey fom say yaba to vi is 2,500 one trip and return would be double

you told someone to calm down and you didn’t give the person pure water? :hushed:

Okay a little education [since you requested for it] I am not going to get into details too much, Office not in Yaba (They are not the only ones struggling with car parking space)

For the purpose of your education, assume my office is in Lekki Phase 1 or Ikoyi and I have my meetings in VI and other places like Marina, Broad street, campos street and not to forget Igbosere ; I seldom do mainland meetings during the week for obvious traffic reasons so my Uber fare will look like

This

and This

and occasionally this

I believe you can still do the maths shey? Hoping I was helpful.

oh wow… uber isn’t as expensive as I imagined… but still this is within island navigation…I bet some of this waka is between Lekki phase, show us the complete map and distance.

its not the same for a babe in say festac or unilag trying to get to sould lounge or the place.

please note that all this banter is on a light note
