Mod changes title of the thread to " Anyone know how to find Mr X"
Afterwards mod can simply request from OP, to replace thread with detailed correspondence leading up to the guy’s disappearance as preliminary basis for the nature of the thread.
And explicitly demand how he wants the community to help. This should cost any radar Mod only a fraction of the words and time already wasted at this point.
That’ll show you care about your users.

Actually, what you’ve described sounds very complicated to me. I’m a simple man, so who knows, it just might be me.
In any case, like I said earlier, the ball is in TC’s court…is this aligned to the vision they have for Radar. If the answer is yes, then a suggestion like yours makes perfect sense.
You seem to have everything well worked out.
