Now I am about to start a riot. Can I get the rationale behind why the scam thread was closed?
What was the thinking behind it? Folks attack Jason Njoku, DealDey and Jumia every time on Radar, so don’t go down the line of defamation. This guy is a serial scam artist and was ousted.
What message is being sent out by closing the thread as more evidences where coming out? Maybe I am too stupid to understand, please enlighten me.
Of course I know it’s elementary and that’s why I will outsource the stupid task to my good folks at Andela or Manish Patel that Indian guy with over 100K ghost email accounts.
This is a public forum in which you have invited people that think differently from you to contribute. You don’t have to agree with everything but you have to be fair.
In this situation are you being fair? A question was asked but if you don’t have the answer, please move on and let’s get to the bottom of this.
Now go ahead and ban me. With Great Power come also Great Responsiblities.
I think it would have been better if a reason was given before the thread was closed. It shows decency and respect for the community. @Tola no one really achieves anything with this your style of approach. Am sure you could have taken a more diplomatic route rather than being provocative.
Like @henryC said; a reason before closing down the thread would have been appreciated. Scratch that, is been demanded.
Radar is a private property, I respect that you may chose whether or not to answer, while the demand is a simply one. I don’t see the reason why you wouldn’t.
If you’re publishing reasons in a later thread, when pls?
Another question is why distribute the conversation across multiple threads when this was where an explanation was demanded? In a bid to not look like @Tola led the charge to get a response out of him?
I agree with this totally. Especially the respect for the community part. Not explaining signals any thread can be closed arbitrarily. Is the gatekeeper greater than the community?! I think it should be other way round.
My guess is: Radar was not created for scam threads and conversations.
Bankole didn’t like the “unwarranted threat” apparently and that he has to answer to someone or anyone. The “riot threat” was unwarranted and over-reacting and I dont think Tola was any serious but there wont be any if the thread was closed with a reason. Then again, why answer in another thread like @xolubi said.
Again differently, Bankole may choose to pass, if he doesn’t want to. It could turn a job having to explain closure of every thread not serving the Radar intended purpose.
Boss. I was not asking for favours, so there is no reason for beating around the bush or any reason to be diplomatic. I am more intrested in the logic behind the decision so that I can decide for myself whether it was rational or not.
As for starting a riot, I will leave that to your imagination…
