According to their website:
Nawhere.ng is a web application/website that would allow visitors to search for fuel stations in their location. Visitors can search for fuel stations in their location based on street/ city/town/ state and similar search criteria. Users will be able to see all the filling stations in their area, see filling stations with available fuel and their current selling price. This will save Nigerians the usual boring routine of going round cities from one fuel station to another wasting precious time, energy, and valuable resources (money) all in frustrating search for fuel and other petroleum products

How long do you think Nigeria will continue to have fuel problems?

I think even when there is no fuel problem, people will still need this.
You forget about security in nawhere.ng, They are some little things you need to fix or else you might wake up and see a different page.
There are may applications for a solution like this even as the fuel crisis problem subsides.
I totally agree with you. The site will have a rating system where users can review and rate different filling stations in their location .
This I think will help, the Filing station management know what users are saying about them and improve on their service.
@Lordemma Are you involved in the project?
are the updates going to be crowdsourced or will the stations update it? this could turn to giditraffic real quick.

@Lordemma are you and your team stuck on this name? Can’t see the connection between nawhere and fuel…

Um…FIRST OF ALL.
its a great idea to help find fuel in this era of fuel supply shortage but how do YOUR operations work?
you would have to update your app or website in real time because you wont want a situation where people see fuel in Gbagada for example at Forte oil and on getting there they have stopped selling thisa would lead to very irritated users and customers,i have to ask, have u signed on ALL Fuel stations to the app? or do u want to use a crowd sourced model if you go that route what then is the incentive to drive people to use the website and share real time information daily and hourly?
Again Nawhere is not a name that signifies finding of fuel, stick to something catchy based on a petroleum product or so again i dont feel your product should be focused only on finding fuel but driving sales for fuel and petroleum products which will make the big guys jump in, they want sales and marketshare, how can your website deliver? and also for a customer, if i can get amazing discounts or sales at more efficient times then this helps.
Again, think of the Fuel Stations and how to organize them to be better efficient, training, operations, marketing, customer service, crisis handling…simply put build a solution for the downstream sector and not only on finding fuel, let that part just be one of your mini products, God knows we need tech to disrupt this part especially in areas of supply and demand of fuel consumption and other products.
You need someone who has uber long years managing fuel stations to advice you on best way to approach this guys because they are to use a true word a pure mafia, and if they dont buy your idea just forget it, it wont fly, no matter what.
Wish who ever owns this the best of luck but your operating technique will win you this and not necessarily the tech.

It’s not going to be crowd sourced. Our team will be updating these filling station details
Maybe they hope finding fuel will be the gateway drug to finding other things.

OK… it’s pretty simple.
The name originated from the saying " Na where fuel de " Na where I fit buy fuel" so the nawhere.ng is just to answer that question. It is pronounce as Na Where"
You grabs ?
Awesome! I can tell, you are seeing where we are going. the fact is, A journey of a thousand miles, begins with a step.
When the site is eventually launched on May 9, you will understand it better and then we can talk more on this if you don’t mind.
your team will update it real time? how big is your team?
