Laundrybag; An app for your laundry needs; Still in BETA

Hey guys, what are your takes on an on demand door to door laundry and dry cleaning app. We’ve just soft launched our service in Lagos and planning an expansion to FCT.

So far, our biggest challenge has been the travel salesman problem and are open to suggestions on this.
The app is available on android and web, iOS coming soon. Hope you guys try it out.

Yup! That’s us. Thanks

I like your business. The site and blog makes sense.
I think you should include the pricing on the site though.

Thanks alot. The prices are location based. Users will have to specify there location to get prices, but we should work out something in line with your suggestion. http://order.laundrybag.com.ng

How much you charge for a shirt or a caftan shouldn’t be location dependent. Your pricing per cloth type should be clear and upfront. You may however charge additional fee based on pickup/delivery location.

just what I thought can handle the pricing of the service separately, and delivery separately

Thanks Dapo, our pricing model is as a result of the cost of doing business in different locations. It wouldn’t be fair to charge someone living in Oke Odo/Iyana Paja the same rate as one in Ikoyi. We also launder the items within the customer’s location so we are subject to the location’s cost implications. Take for example, Uber rates in Lagos are a lot different from Abuja or P-Town. You can still find N50 transport fares in parts of the mainland but you can’t find that on the island…

Sorry don’t get what you mean…

was referring to what @Dapo said. I agreed with his suggestion on the pricing. And about the app and the whole idea, i say well done

I don’t think your reason makes much sense unless you have 3rd parties washing for you in different locations.

That’s exactly what they do

Well, our price model is factored on a lot more than may seem obvious. The customer I should think, couldn’t care less if the prices are location based, as long as the figures make pocket sense to him.

Nice one,

I am a Lazy Consumer, I dont want to go through the stress of hunting down your price on doing and delivering my laundry, If i dont see the price upfront…I wont be interested.

So I think, you should do something along the line of what people have been saying…just saying…

For example, My laundry guy has flat rates on any piece he is fixing…from shirts to natives…down to the umentionables.

So you can fix a Flat price for the service, then charge the deficit on the delivery price, which can be billed differently.

Thanks Kola, just a question, have you tried using the app?

Its a brilliant idea. Execution is key though
