It Seems GLO is Breaking The Data Bundle Market

Some interesting data bundle rates from Glo.

Good! This will force other networks to drop their prices. The issue now is consistent quality of service, the plans might be great, but the service might be very poor in various locations.

True, but this is a good start.

I don’t understand that “Silver” rate at all.

You see, these people are confused.

They can as well make it 6 gig for 500 naira with 3 months validity, am not buying. Glo is the worst thing that happened to mobile data subscribers.

As soon as Etisalat dropped their price I knew this would happen. This is Glo’s Marketing trick. They are one of the worst but they manage to retain and gain new customers by offering awoof. e.g recharge N200 and get N1000. Not to say the rest are better by far, but Etisalat alone has managed to offer superb and consistent data since Easy blaze. As for MTN, I still cant understand why people use that service.

But I fear we may say good bye to the beauty of Easy blaze as the exceeding fast service now sucks since price reduction (at least for the past couple of days). I suspect a major data cap has been effected… wait just did a speed test and still getting above 5mbps… I may be wrong tho fingers crossed.

Glo has really crappy network in many locations. My business line which is registered hasn’t been able to make calls or receive texts in weeks.
Even if their bundle crashes to 1 naira for 1gb, I still won’t buy or use.
Many customers are also experiencing the same thing. They should fix their network first before offering anything else.

Like I said earlier, bad quality of service.

the Silver plan looks like there was a typo. Silver Price 10k for 11GB,
Gold is 15k for 60GB… how?

Exactly! It doesn’t make sense!

Glo makes sense when it’s stable in your area. I use glo and it’s pretty stable here.

Here in UNIBEN , Glo’s internet service is TERRIBLE!!. Used them for 2 months and i almost lost my mind. Imagine a network that would take about 7mins to load a page. Hell! Who has time for that?

Switched to Airtel with no regrets. 3.5k for 9GB. Pretty good deal

There is a lot of unused fibre capacity so prices are crashing. Its a good thing for data in Nigeria. Prices were way too high previously. The issue remains the last mile connectivity which remains atrocious.

For all their customers? What is the code?

Not sure there’s a criteria

51GB …we hope :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I was ill advised to use Glo as a Internet travelmate to some Northern villages and it was the worst decision I have ever made. The Glo Access Network is beyond crap. Infact crap is an understatement, It is f**king sh*t!!!

The part I could not understand was how I will be hooked on their 3G network then drop back to Egde just 2 minutes later. I tried Etisalat and it was manageable sh*t but Airtel just seemed OK.

So I dont think Glo is “Breaking the Data Bundle Market” but just dumping rotten tomatoes on unsuspecting buyers…

I bet you a lot of other people have a nice experience with GLO. Glo is pretty fast in my location. Etisalate is a mess!

It’s simple. Understand your location before choosing your provider. That’s the situation of things today.
