Where is your location sef ?
Awka, Anambra State.
Oga, on the average, GLO is the shittiest mobile service provider in the world.
I feel you are enjoying Glo because the network is not Congested unlike other major citiesā¦I think Etisalat has been experiencing the same these few days but still not as bad as Glo.
I imagined the Glo one cable would give them an edge as per service delivery. It doesnāt seem to offer a meaningful impact as per customer experience⦠May be it explains why they can offer data for less though.
But hoestly this their data offer is unresistable⦠I will buy a glo sim for the hell of it, and see for myself first hand.
Iāve been using GLO for well over 4 years now. Itās been great (although it could be greater). Iām based in Ikorodu atm & GLO still rocks. As for Airtelā¦donāt try it here. I heard Etisalat is the best here though.
Glo is okay here and etisalat too, but airtel is crap, their 3g works but Edge is offline.
Etisalat Network has being disappointing lately
Major thing is Some Areas some Networks are Excellent in, Some areas they are shitā¦I think the telcos need to list all Stable Areas for Voice/Data so customers are informed and its up to the Firms handling their networks to come up with strategies to achieve a 99% uptime in this areas, Still Etisalat should drop their data cost, its arrogantly expensive and they are the best of the lot followed by Airtel with MTN and Glo taking the lead at the bottom but with a 2500 for 10gb Glo has a pocket friendly dataplan and Nigerians respond with their pocket, if you doubt check NCC latest figures that saw Glo recieve millions of new subscribers, their Data is working for them. Meaning the rest need to step up, MTN has tried to do dt with Pulse, Airtel with Speedo, Etisalat grudginly added an extra 1GB that still ends up finishing before 30 days smh.
Meanwhile wat of Ntel thought they had launched yet? Might be the Data War is due to their launching on 4G full spectrum
Iāve used glo, mtn and etisalat and I will say that no network is perfect. That is pretty much why many Nigerians use more than 1 phone or phones with multiple sims.
I use glo myself. Been using it for over 3 years now.
Their service seems good in some parts of yaba and surulere, bad at Ladipo, terrible in unilag and unreliable in Enugu. So I just know when to rely on other networks.
have you checked their twitter feed off recent ? filled with āpoor network queriesā ⦠It used to be fast over here too
Take it from me, Etisalat is king when it comes to mobile service providers⦠I was weak when I discovered Glo had no 3G in an area where their Mobile Switching Center was locatedā¦
I do like the price wars⦠Very soon data would become quite affordable to all
You prefer EDGE to 3G?
