I am the co-founder of W3Guy, and I am here to introduce our new product. A WordPress plugin designed to solve certain problems for online marketers and webmasters who wish to join the e-commerce ecosystem and earn money without loosing sweat.
Currently, the Plugin works for only Jumia, it will automatically import products, description, images and price from Jumia and display them on the recipient website.
There is an option to add user’s Jumia affiliate ID, so commission is gotten from every sale made.
We also have an affiliate system, where people can get commission from each referral they make.
It’s a huge project, @collizo4sky, founder and lead-developer of W3GUY is already hard at work with our team on the completion of Konga’s affiliate plugin to achieve similiar result.
Here is a link to the product page, additional information can also be gotten via the link below: http://www.affiliateshop.com.ng
We are not in partnership with them. It isn’t an unauthorized hack (if i understand you correctly).
FYI, a number of Internet marketers and bloggers have made fortune and still make passive incomes promoting Amazon products, thus it isn’t something new.
The affiliate shops simply link to the said product on Jumia or konga albeit with your affiliate link so that when a purchase is made, commission gets accrue to you.
It primary gear towards people interested in making money from affiliate commission but it doesn’t rule out small business owners. For example, a business owner with a WooCommerce powered store with few product of his own to sell can use this plugin to increase the number of products in their store albeit with a link to Jumia / Konga when a buyer make a buying decision.
Great to know you guys are an internationally focused business and not just Nigeria. Checked couple of your plugins and I had fallen in love with ProfilePress.
Well, I would give this plugin a 5/5 if it would be possible for a marketer to combine products from different retailers on a single WordPress theme. That is, instead of having a separate site for Konga, Jumia and others, we should have a single site listing products from all retailers someone is signed-up as an affiliate.
Please, add more. What about VConnect, DealDey and others with great affiliate system like Konga? Bring them on!
You guys I learned are based in Benin… Good to see something good coming from Nigerians outside Lagos.
Thanks for the kind words @Ubarab. Never knew you’ve been a keen follower of us.
Yes we are base in Benin and intend to move to lagos once i am through with my tertiary education.
We actually decided to build an affiliateshop plugin for each eCommerce store rather than combine them together because we are not a fan of one plugin rule them all.
By separating them into individual plugins, we give buyers choices so they don’t end up buying one giant plugin inwhich they won’t be needing some of it features and also make the price as affordable as possible.
If we are to combine them together and decide to sell for say #30k. i doubt if anybody will buy it.
We actually took the above and few others into consideration before deciding to separate them into individual plugins.
To set up a store for selling items cost money. This is exclusive of what you spend to fulfil orders and pay your employee if need be.
An affiliate on the other hand does not spend that much except on hosting and possibly marketing.
The plugin is a one-time install and there is no reoccurrence payment (monthly or annually) on it. If it would enable someone to make lots by aggregating tons of items from different retailers on a single platform, people would be willing to purchase the plugin at any price.
Why would I have to open three websites because I am partnering three different retailers as an affiliate…? Not good for business guys. Single website, all affiliates revenue from the single point.
Security and UI wise, single website, all affiliates product listings rules.
We are totally excited about your feedback and you have raised very important points.
Firstly, the plugin is a one-time payment, but an annual fee for continued updates and support upon expiration of year one after sales. This is equally explained on the sales page.
The focal point which you have raised lies on an option to make the plugin “all-inclusive” which is possible but didn’t really fit into our business philosophy.
The point is this; you don’t have to open three websites to use the different plugins. You can install all AffiliateShop plugins in one website without either of them conflicting. The reason of this is because, we don’t want one heavy plugin, having a bunch of features that people do not want.
This decision was also reached based on pricing factors. If we bundle all plugins in one, the price would be on the extreme. So we opted for this process, to give users an option. Someone can start with Jumia AffiliateShop plugin, and if he is satisfied, he can add Konga Affilate Shop plugin to compliment for his gains.
Having separate plugins would also make us focus and plan in relation to the e-commerce website we are importing the information from.
Thanks @Nosa for the reply; it answers a part of worries regarding its features.
Hope a user would be able to push for instance all Fashion items on Konga and Jumia together under a Fashion Category on his website without any issue?
Well, develop one for VConnect and possibly do for another retail platform too since you said it’s possible to use all plugins on a single hosted domain. This plugin would rule and guys, best of luck.
Nice work guys. I’m of the opinion that you could work out a mutually beneficial partnership with Jumia. That would go a long way to boost trust and sales.
I’ll get the personal license anytime soon in support of your stuff
Affiliate Marketing! Crazy stuff guys. You could take it further with a legitimate partnership with Jumia. Make a pitch and show them solid returns from your clicks (or marketing).
