Hi everyone! I’m Gbenro Ogundipe. I work a 9-5, serve as a pastor with TBC Abuja and I am co-founder/owner of several businesses including Pliris Mobile and CrossHatch ML. I am a keen Uber Rider and started writing to Uber to have them come to Nigeria about 4 Years ago. Today? I manage a small collection of 4 cars, and I drive one in my free time.
I know for a fact that I’m not the only Uber Partner in Nigeria (there are over 300 of us), but I’d love to answer your questions about the platform, and anything else, really. So…ask me anything!
As a Partner, how do you motivate your drivers to work harder and deliver more returns? Getting them out there to be more productive, particularly at night, can be difficult? How do you do it? Is there an incentive-based agreement?
2.Have you had any weird passengers when driving?
3. Asides fuel, what’s your biggest recurrent expenditure?
Hey, Pst @gbenro. Good to have you around. I’m asking for a friend. He intends getting an accent, and putting it on the Uber platform. How much do you think, his driver should deliver/week?
How has the relationship been between you and your drivers?
What kind of issues(if any) do you have with them?
How do you split returns between you and your drivers?
Good Morning Sir,
I have three questions for you.
What happens in the event of an accident? Does Uber have any group insurance options, or partners/drivers will have to sort themselves out (everybody answer im papa name)?
What’s the funniest situation you’ve ever been in while driving for Uber?
LOL. What do you think of Buhari’s administration?
Thanks for taking the time to do this @gbenro. When I Uber, I like to ride shotgun. Some people have told me this is weird behaviour. Have you seen many other people like me in your time driving? Or is it that uncommon?
