@xolubi had been toying with the idea of a weekly tech podcast. Not entirely sure why he chose me to do the show with, but it’s been three episodes so far and I’m really enjoying making them.
We just posted the third one, Episode 2 (Episode 0 was the first one because … arrays …) and we had Lanre, CEO of Delivery Science, as our first guest on the show.
We talked about what Delivery Science is about, how Lanre got into programming in the first place, how he would really like to see investment industry revolutionized by technology, Nigerian start-ups understanding the importance of soaking garri, blocking and tackling, how I’m most likely not my dad’s favorite child …
Check it out and let us know what you think
Ps. There’s a shout-out to @onyeka somewhere in there.
Lots of wisdom nuggets from Lanre. I liked his frank take on the perception of founders in the ecosystem. It’s also enlightening to hear him describe what DS does.
Highly recommended listening folks…it’s not everyday you hear from a candid vet founder, who’s not ‘selling’. Just sharing knowledge.
But guys, pls when next 3 of you have to laugh at a joke - just realise that your listeners will find it very loud. And @xolubi not enough questions from you…what happened?
Yh I agree. That laugh caught me off guard. Needs some audio leveling I think.
Nice one guys. Is there a way to get this on iTunes, so we can subscribe or an email newsletter?
I don’t have an issue with the language tbh, as podcasts should be like conversations but i guess they can release a censored version (but that’s effforrrttt).
In all, I think we’re starting to get some really good podcasts, which provides a platform to share our unique stories and experiences. So from Digitaldrifts to TC radio and now Crudcast…all making a valuable contribution to the ecosystem. Good work guys ️!
Thanks guys for listening and I like that you enjoyed it. The volume leveling will be put into consideration for future episodes. As soon as @akamaozu is done taking his sweet time on the logo design and stuff, we will put it up on iTunes.
Like @ADT said, the idea behind this is we want the show to feel like overhearing a conversation between us both, and others when they are featured. Staying natural means expletives will happen. This is acknowledged in the name as the “crud” is a double entendre for something that is disgusting, or unpleasant because of its dirtiness, and also that acronym every developer knows.
So insightful, so deep. So much wisdom from Lanre. We need more of this! This is what Radar is about not bickerings.
And talking about bickering, @xolubi had to follow up on @ozombo somewhere there, didn’t you? Hope that guy doesn’t show up in your dream at times!
No, you aren’t. We have received a number of such comments earlier regarding the first two episodes as well but we cannot promise anything. We’ll talk our hearts out and if we run out of steam in less than an hour, fine. We want listeners that truly enjoy us, not tolerate us.
