Hey guys, we are currently rolling out a beta version of an online recruitment and assessment platform that is aimed at connecting the most qualified candidates to the biggest companies in Nigeria.

Please we want honest, unbiased feedback on the whole platform and how you think we can make it better. It’s just 10mins.

Hi Dolapo, Nice to meet you. Since the purpose of me signing up on your website is to test it out for you and give feedback, why would i need to stay if i’m not searching for a job?, I mean its not a social network, is it?

Hey Kelz, we went through a series of name changes before we settled on SpotterHR. At the end of the day, we chose SpotterHR to reflect what the platform is about. Its an online recruitment and assessment platform aimed at “spotting” the right talent and connecting them with companies and job opportunities in Nigeria.

No, it is not a social network, but we intend to have self developmental resources for you to get better at whatever it is you choose to do.

Since i was unable to access your feedback page on my dashboard, il just post it here;

  1. The signup confirmation email contained my password in plain text, it made me wonder if you could actually see it in plain text too.

  2. I was too lazy to complete my profile :slight_smile: so I couldn’t take the test.

  3. I couldn’t find where to delete my account.it appears that the only link functioning on the top left panel is the logout link

  4. You/Your developer should check your Mail Authentication settings and ensure that your mail server is permitted. Apparently gmail couldn’t verify that spotterhr.com actually sent the confirmation email

  5. Nice UI, overall.

Honest opinion? Please focus your energy on something better.

There are no jobs readily available in Nigeria. The HR’s of all the companies you have listed probably have a thousand and one applicants for a single job position.

My Advice: Create a better system that can be used to pre-screen candidates based on their profile, work experience, social media status, forum contributions, influence and recommendations. You might want to create an algorithm that filters CV skills for relevant keywords, rank universities attended, qualifications, years of relevant work experience and all…

You should also create a module that would enable HR specialists to asses a candidate without the need for an IT personnel/developer. i.e. a drag and drop, time-constraint aptitude test framework.

And lastly, you should consider creating a module that can be used to interview a candidate without the need to travel down to the company for oral interview. The video should be able to transcribe interview responses to text and your system should be able to once again filter responses for keywords relevant for the job position.

Your system should be able to rank candidates based on all of these metrics and select the top 5 best performing candidates for the final round of interview.

With this system in place, you will be solving a real problem - eliminating recruiting cost and time required to hire a candidate.

You can package and sell your platform to companies - within and outside Nigeria. Monetize via license acquisition, maintenance, upgrade agreements.

Note: PushCV has done what you currently have and Jobberman has a better profile.
