I’m never recharging via a mobile banking app again.

Who needs to recharge via a mobile banking app or an airtime recharge app when you bank with GTB?
737amount# never been easier.
Cool…
PWC, Quickteller (the app), Quickteller Mini (via BBM), allbanksamount#. seems like there’s a recharge card revolution.
I like the UX
The title of this post reminds me of the tagline of xobni(xobni.com).
Xobni: The last address book you’ll ever need.
Well, you already know.
Update: it’s quite good!
You can say that again… Clickatel beats all!
But… The account aspect of things, I second with Zoto. I mean it’s nice to have a full control over the spending and the logs etc. Plus automatic disbursing is also cool to have.
The thing with all these apps is that they require internet connection to work. Which means no internet , no show.
I use GTB 737 and I’ve recorded 95% success rate in the last 3months , But I’ll try out Zoto anyways
True.
some years ago, like 07/08 I used an SMS service from some guys that required me to pre-fund a virtual wallet (precursors to mobile money). don’t know what happened to them.
But with the proliferation of data services, shouldn’t be a problem…it’s just that these days everything is an app. what happens to dumb-phones?
The comments is hilarious and reminded me of what someone said about e-topup as the most competitive market in Nigeria. I think its @ogunlanaolumide on a post about sharing instagram advert tips.
I remember a heated session at one of the banks.
They have the USSD 111… recharge facility and it was about how the service was draining the bank and how long it would cost to recover the investment…
Once a customer opens a USSD session, it’s NGN5-10 regardless of the completion of the transaction.
So its a loss every time a sale is not concluded or the user purchases NGN100 Topup.
I guess that is why most startup recharge operators are not pushing the option.
The banks are hopeful that if they can get all their customers using it, then they would be looking at millions of transactions monthly.
Zoto FAIL!
I signed up to Zoto for the first time with my phone number. And this is what I got. Classic.
I have no email address like that, and I have never signed up for Zoto before.
Or did some random guy try out a random phone number? Lol.
I’ll take a guess and say that was ReloadNG/SoftPurse.
Ur head de there…its reloadng!!
I like when I make feature requests and it’s being implemented.
They just got my fanboy vote.
Here you go, for context. Uber Killing Our Local Startups
We should talk offline someday soon… Seeing as we even share Alma mater. Internet works in strange ways!
Sorry to break the party.
I’ve been trying to recharge via Zoto since last night to no avail. Tried over 10times already. Always serving me a blank screen to admire.
Zoto = 1.72 stars.
Even used the support feature to poke Zubby who promised to respond ASAP. Its past 24Hrs now.
Thank God I had not uninstalled my Quickteller and other Bank Apps yet.
PS. Recharged via other channels and my card worked just fine.
This is a screenshot of my last try.
don’t you have to go to the bank to register the number? tried it the other day and the thing no too click
You can change your primary number from gtb’s Internet banking.
thanks! i’ll try that. had no idea you could
Granted, the user interface is weird. You have to literally click every link on the side to see what it does.
