I wasn’t really making an argument here.

Anyway, my beef with ads is that I don’t think they work as much as platform owners want us to believe they do, but that’s an argument for another day. Let’s not change the subject of the thread

Relevant/Targeted adverts do. A site that has 100 visitors with a customized advert tailored to its audience is much more effective than a site with one million visitors serving unrelated adverts.

A case in point, Nairaland categorized adverts vs LIB

Can I select certain categories and view news from only those categories, or remove news from certain categories…

That is if I don’t want to see any entertainment news, is there a way?

For now, you can’t remove any category from the list. The best you can do is to click on any categories you want instead of going through the whole news on the homepage. Work in progress though to allow people to pick the categories they want.

My first commendation is on the app size.
4.10MB, us data-sensitive Nigerians appreciate smaller app sizes like this.

I don’t know why, but the scrolling is not so smooth.
It’s quirky and generally unusable.

9 hours from now. I kid you not!
Unless you guys now predict the future, (which would be cool) I don’t know why a news entry will have the time entry “9 hours from now”

Navbar
Navbar is a bit obstructive, it blocks some part of the picture.

Apart from all these, it’s a cool app for a valid idea.

I now understand how the scroll works, but I still suggest you make it as seamless as possible. IMHO only few users will be willing to compromise with this.

Thanks for the honest feedback sir.

As per the scroll and nav, these will be addressed in the version 2.

The 9 hours from now is just a time scheduling system that should not show on the front end. We’ll get it fixed asap.
