WiredJob.com, an online platform that connects freelance artisans (plumbers, carpenters, developers, designers, architects etc) to potential clients

Hello all, I am Chimmie Ijezie, Chief Operations Officer at WiredJob.com.

WiredJob is an online platform that connects freelance artisans (plumbers, carpenters, developers, designers, architects etc) to potential clients. WiredJob is an Online freelancing/outsourcing built for Nigerians. It is a platform built for clients to meet and interact with experts and freelancers. It provides an opportunity for Clients/Service Contractors to post jobs/work/project free, go through a list of experts/freelancers with their individual bids and work samples, hence select and contact whom
the Client deem competent enough to handle the project.

Why WiredJob? The high unemployment rate and the jostle for an office space in Nigeria prompted the start of WiredJob.

So far we have been able to connect people in need of services to the providers of the service.
Check out the site at www.wiredjob.com and tell me what you think

I am working with someone on something similar to your platform but abit different. its a good concept but your UI isn’t friendly

Anyone that writes a post on another platform like this (complete with a poorly thought out user interface and no real success strategy) moving forward should be flogged.

I think we need an incubator in nigeria that teaches and help startups with UI/UX for equity :triumph:

You should try this dark red instead of the current one : #ea4545

Tell you what i think ? you need a UI/UX guy

I think it goes beyond the UI/UX guy(s). The visual identity looks like it needs fixing and some rubber loving…

(I was about say @xolubi don start again oO but that red tho…-hands xOlubi pepper-laced koboko-)

This came out, all shades of wrong, in my head… :walking:

Am no UI expert, but the UI on your site leaves much to be desired. You can do better but great idea

He is Chief Operations Officer, you guys should have some respect. This is what I think: The site took forever to load, and it went it loaded, it was shit.

Thanks all for your analysis. We’d work on everything. Thanks

The website’s got me cringing over here :persevere:. The colours, images, etc are really bad. I noticed you’re using the WP theme Freelance Engine. It’s a theme with good potential but i think you need UI/UX guy to help customize it better.

I played around a bit with the theme files and was able to do this. Nothing extraordinary, but at it least gives you a fair idea on how better Wiredjob could look with a little more effort.

this is much better, i hope he knows what to do now

Like everyone has mentioned already, sincerely the UI sucks big time but the startup idea is cool.

Nice idea.
Improve on UI/UX just as everyone has suggested.
Here are some works by your competition - www.Asuqu.com and www.findworka.com
But don’t get it wrong, UI/UX is not the ultimate decider of success.
Carmudi has a better UI/UX than Cheki but Cheki came in first and executed well and now they’re ruling the auto sales space.
Also, your idea really requires a lot of offline work. You can hack the likes of jiji and olx for artisans.

All the best.

As Chief Operations officer i really got to ask you, How do you deal with the basic chicken and egg issue of marketplaces?, What are you spending to develop your brand? What is your true niche customers? Studied both nigerian and international gig marketplace yet?.

Truth is if you dont hv millions u cant scale or a better USP than jiji, olx, efritin n odas who play in ur space not to talk of jobbermans’ work centra that was launched that is ur direct competition.

Why would they leave all this to u?

New on here…community guideline says you should be kind… criticisms are good but pass your message kindly too…
