I believe we should spend more time creating the software and hardware resources necessary for others to build better products.
Like Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, there are many problems we will never solve because we must first solve the underlying problems.
We have seen in 2016 how many fintech startups were birthed (or improved) because of the emergence of flutterwave. The thing is, when the right tools are present, the many brilliant people in the country will find many use cases for it.
We should spend more time creating RELIABLE apis that others can build their products on. Eventually, everyone gains.
We should work at making one thing very easy, and in the process, enable others to focus on solving other problems.
We will achieve a lot more if we each solve one problem well, instead of all solving the same problem without sharing.
Imagine how hard building an eCommerce site will be if everyone had to build their own payment gateways.
Or how difficult having a website will be if everyone had to host it themselves.
These are services that make money by enabling others. We should look to these models when solving problems.
