Why Is Jumia & Konga Not Listed On NSE Market?

Sometimes I wonder if our authority are responsive! In US, when a company’s sales and asset exceed a set-limit, the next step is to begin their listing processes. We have seen such scenario play over and over again: From Facebook, Amazon, Ebay, Linkedin, etc.

Why is Nigeria Listing Environment Different?

Me, I want to buy shares in these companies oooo! LOL!

How is it wrong?

Because they are not public companies. The directors and board of a company determines that, not the government. It has nothing to do with the responsiveness(or not) of NSE.

Listing (doing an IPO) means raising money from the public. It is optional.

The question should have been " When will Jumia and Konga go public??? " or 'When will a Nigerian tech company go public??? "… Correct me if I am wrong…

You might want to re-check this information from the source.

Many Nigerian tech companies have gone public. Prime example is CWG which went public very recently.
