Facebook has been changing the way we communicate, share important memories, watch funny videos, breaking news, and now it’s going to change the way we buy & sell things too.
A few days ago Facebook just announced the new Marketplace that lets you sell to anyone around you (within 100 miles of you), and this is a huge move for them.
Why such a huge shift in ecommerce? Because Facebook, the world’s largest social engine, that currently connects over a billion people can now allow us sell or buy things right there without leaving the platform.
Facebook Marketplace is almost similar to OLX in several ways. It functions as a venue and not a facilitator, and the details of any sales like shipping, price, logistics e.t.c are between the buyer and the seller.
