Anyone know what happened to SoupToYouDoor?

Just noticed the site no longer exists and the last Facebook post was more than a year ago,

I remember being excited about the service when it launched and it did get a good number of digital high-fives in the ecosystem, not forgetting Average Joe @xolubi :stuck_out_tongue:

Although similar services now run in Lagos and Abuja, the questions still remains What happened to SoupToYourDoor and why did it close it’s doors? :frowning:

Feel free to tag people who you know are aware of the matter to drop their comments on the thread. No doubt there are lessons to be learned.

Life happened and everyone moved on.

I actually got my soup fix for some time from the website. Wasn’t disappointed. The owner is a friend of mine and AFAIK, she had a 9-5 during the week and cooked all Saturday to do deliveries on Sunday. Now I haven’t had a reason to use it for some time now and wasn’t aware the website was down. Perhaps her schedule got busier or something. I’ll find out.

UPDATE: Apparently the domain name is in a bit of situation similar to what caused Loy Okezie to forego startupsnigeria.com and switch to techloy.com. However her existing customers are making followup orders via whatsapp.

Thanks for the update.

I’m taking it she’s still in business then. Perhaps she should make some update to her other online assets (Facebook and Twitter) accordingly.

Hopefully she’s back soon.

I guess she can get a new domain AND Port users or point them towards new site.

I hate that this sounds like I’m evoking clichés or something but her role in the business is (was?) making the soup. Let’s just say now she needs a new technical cofounder.
