“Developer” is a large word
Most times we mean programmers
Truth is we shouldn’t complain about the salaries
As Mark said it doesn’t make too much sense for a business to overpay an individual
Software engineers and developers are paid most in the US
But this is simply as a result of their money happy investors who don’t want to miss out on the next facebook/Google/snap (you get my drift)
Our companies don’t make as much and as such can’t pay as much it’s no one’s fault…you can’t force it through people’s throats cos it’s “the next big thing”
Companies like interswitch, banks etc can pay programmers well because they can afford to…their products are readily used and regularly have to be updated (hence the need for local developers)
