Hahaha I can relate, I can hardly remember the very embarrassing ones funnier than yours to share but i still have em moments nowadays.
I’ve also tried to steal large files with diskettes
I have tried to “download” the internet in a park of Diskette.
Wait, you tried to download the whole internet?
For a long time, didn’t know that you could click the logo on a website or should I say most websites to get to the homepage.
For about 2years of using new BBM app, i did not know how to update personal message until a friend showed me and i felt so old and naive.Dont laff me much.it is new tech issh
I still have a hard time with Snapchat (it bothers me I may be getting old and uncool). I figured Twitter almost 2 years after sign up.
Also I remember exhausting my entire lunch money in a cybercafe, just to have an email I didn’t even need. After 2 hours cybercafe time, I still couldn’t sign up. Yahoo just made it difficult. I eventually paid a friend the next day, just to help me get one.
Having an email was just the cool factor badge I needed. And of course, he had to print out the yahoo welcome email for me.
And boy, the day I discovered Google. I was 14. I am still embarrassed to this day, my first series of Google searches. Some I can’t even share. It felt I was talking to God directly!
I still need a twitter manual
Yep. Copying games to diskettes only to find .lnk files. Did that too. Wasn’t there a thread about this a while back?
Nobody taught me how to use Facebook, but Twitter? Am still trying to unlock the mystery behind it and I care very little. I have this feeling that it’s meant for celebs and public figures.
Apparently moderators can break the rules by writing a post on TC about a subject they find fascinating on Radar, and then create a thread to discuss the said post.
Waiting for the day I can break the rules by becoming moderator.
@IBKTheBot You made my day with the post. And I am hysterical as I post this.
Which rule did they break?
Searching for a topic to see if the discussion exists to avoid creating a duplicate, I suppose. Or is that allowed?
Creating topic duplicates is not allowed. Although, I’m still looking for the topic this post duplicates, I don’t recall seeing it. And if a moderator makes a mistake, they should be called out like anybody else so they can fix it, they can’t “apparently” or blatantly or otherwise break the rules.
You just made the chances of this happening pretty close to zero.
@lordbanks I stand corrected. Seeing this thread immediately reminded me of when this - What is the most stupid thing you've done or heard as a developer - was created. Now that I have looked through it, I can see the subtle difference.
