So, I blocked emails from ALAT and just as I thought I could finally get a breath of fresh air they started sending me SMS on my mobile. They’re currently on a 4-day message streak. I also found out there’s no way to deactivate my account and end the nightmare.
Oh! ALAT is trying to take you through her customer life cycle funnel for onboarding. That’s the cause. The quick fix is to upload your documents (utility bill, iD, signature and photograph) and she’ll leave you alone…or at least start disturbing you on something else.
I’ve used services whose sign-up processes I didn’t complete, and they only emailed me once in a few weeks, and then stopped. I wonder what the email guy was doing when he scheduled account reminders to go on indefinitely and occur twice in 3 days! Since Sunday, the first emails in my inbox have been from ALAT!
