Why the fuck is this discussion a thing? What does it matter? Andela hasn’t suddenly become any less of that Iyin’s startup that we have come to know (and love?). Can we let it rest?

Maybe (and allow me to be heavily presumptuous here), it’s because of the size of the investment and who it’s come from. I bet you if Paystack raised more than 7 digits from say any of the PayPal mafia, it will be talked about till kingdom come.
The question of “why does it matter” still stands. Why aren’t we simply happy for them and move on? The company has decided to position itself as what it is, and we are here arguing over whose idea it really is. Really? They are all co-founders for a reason. What is the end game? To break them up? To make the board give Iyin a big payout because it was his “idea”?

It’s a thing because a narrative has emerged in which @iaboyeji is not a co-founder of the company. And that seems to have happened as the company became more successful. Hence…
You can’t say that without a link to something, anything… that claims that. Last I checked, The brouhaha was over the fact that only Jeremy was quoted in the releases. The other cofounders are humans too. Why aren’t we upset on their behalf as well?

Congratulations on coughing up one of the many links that regurgitated Oo’s story and essentially adding nothing to the conversation. Andela has had a firm handle on its press and outlook in the media. There is no conspiracy or misinformation in the press as our gist loving minds would want us to believe.
If anyone decides to feel less of themselves or threatened because two white people posed to take a picture beside a black Andela trainee, that is their problem. What next? We are going to argue the investment shouldn’t have come from white people too?
Anyway, congratulations to @iaboyeji, @Jeremy and the rest of the team.

Congratulations accepted. I added something to the conversation. I added one of the many links that regurgitated Oo’s story. Not everyone has seen the link it may provide structure for some.
People have opinions, people discuss these opinions because it matters to them. It’s 6 to you and 9 to others.
We don’t necessary have to agree with their perspective but at least we can pretend to be civil about it.
I personally think beans is better than moi moi. My opinion.

These people are running things smoothly as planned… What is my business in there private affairs… CEOs always catch the most attention. It is obvious Jeremy has the personality and influence to do that ( their external relation goals).It is all about your strength… I think Jeremy has what it takes to get external influence. And that is why we do have team mates. We have to change our orientation to be able to create great teams. It is not about attention – it is about business success.

Iyin is the one I/we know as he has been the one publicly defending Andela in all it’s glory, especially on here. How come all these conspiracies are now coming out after Maga do pay? Why nobody talk when we dey argue here? No be Bad Belle be this?
Anyways, Congratulations to the guy and whoever else helped him get here…
