The Easiest Way to Find, Hire and Work with Social Media Influencers

Big shout out to all dem brothers and Sisters on here,

With the high rise of the dollar, Facebook and Google ads are becoming more expensive by the day,Most of us bootstrapping, have little or no marketing budget. I just wanted a simple way to get the word out.

With Qwikkly.com.ng, we are rethinking how ads are consumed, leveraging on the trust factor. For just a small fee, we connect startup founders with social media influencers, people with over 5,000 REAL followers who can help them advertise on their social media timelines, leverage on their influence, followership and trust to get the word out there about your products and services as qwikkly as possible.

Think of it, What if you could validate your product idea by paying Emeka, N5,000 for a tweet about your offer to over 15,000 real twitter followers or Jessica N10,000 for a shout out on her Youtube channel with over 27,832 subscribers, 500,000 Views.

Not forgetting that the average Nigerian is exposed to hundreds if not thousands of ads per day and in 2015 alone over 47% of online customers used ad block technology, in response to dissatisfaction with digital advertising.

Seriously guys, i think the way we advertise is gradually changing, People no longer trust ads, they trust people. Is this something you would use as a founder?

Really would love your thoughts, comments and suggestions.

Is it a service I would love to use? Yes. But quantitatively, is there a relationship between someone’s number of followers and his influence over them?

Correlation does not imply causation.

While there may not be a direct relationship, engagement is key here. Moving forward, as we hack together an Influencer onboarding strategy, one major factor would be Relevance over Reach.

How do you measure engagement? With social media ads, I can decide who sees my ads, based on locality, gender, interests, and many other factors. When it’s all said & done, I’m shown data which makes me believe my ads were worthwhile.

In summary, can you show me ROI?

True Boss, while a typical social media ad can provide all dem info you mentioned above. In this case, i would measure engagement by simply looking at retweets, mentions, favourites, impressions and followership of a particular influencer account.

Daniel, you make a good point. There are true social media influencers out there. Kendall Jenner, Ashton Kutcher get paid hundreds of thousands of Dollars to feature products on their social media pages and the companies reap bountifully from their endorsements. In Nigeria, I would see people like Tuface, Omotola Jalade, Mercy Johnson, Toyin Aimakhu, Linda Ikeji and Uche Pedro as being strong social media influencers because they have passionate followership.
However, like Kendall Jenner, they all represent different demographic groups and different lifestyles which a company has to, analyse. For example, a condom manufacturer would not gain anything from getting Tuface to endorse their product - except it is a play on irony (I am still a die hard 2 Baba fan). Just as Omotola would not help a company marketing a slimming product (I love her too!). So before reaching out to a celebrity, you need to ensure that the person represents the product or lifestyle your product or service promotes. Some social media influencing partnerships are awesome. Under Armours has profited immensely from celebrity endorsements. Their partnership with Jordan Spieth (the great white hope and up yours to Tiger Woods) has created a whole new profitable product line for Under Armour.
Finally, just because a person has 20,000 followers doesn’t mean he or she has influence over their purchasing decisions. Good idea overall!

Most people, brands and businesses tend to focus solely on big name influencers, even though peer level influence appears to be more psychologically beneficial in driving sales than aspirational influence moving forward we hope to get top influencers and celebrities on board, currently we just focused on signing up mid level or micro influencers, people you and i can approach and not break bank.

As of now, we have guys on board with over 50,000 followers charging N150 per tweet and many others with great followership and engagement charging as low as N5,000 for a feature, product recommendation and shout outs. You really should check us out Qwikkly

Daniel, I checked out the site. This is an awesome idea and your site looks neat. However, most importantly your search queries don’t work well. I tried looking for influencers in different industries and at different price points, but it kept giving me zero results.

Sorry Boss, we still hacking the MVP together, much changes on going. Could you kindly check in again, in a few hours?

For me the interesting thing is how you have been able to implement your business using that theme. Brilliant.
That said, my place of work is launching a platform by the end of first quarter. We will certainly need your service.
