I came across a conjecture in number theory which goes thus:
BEAL’S CONJECTURE: If Ax + By = Cz, where A, B, C, x, y and z are positive integers and x, y and z are all greater than 2, then A, B and C must have a common prime factor.
Let’s see the math geniuses
Do you want this proved, or confirmed? I will still need some Number theory revision to go with this. Brain is dusty since '06 I did not n and (n+1).
I’ll attempt to show this when I get home. Gimme 10 mins
(I’m just trying to prove for a specific case, not general o)
So if Ax + By = Cz;
The proof for common prime factor means that:
i(A+B) =Ci for the condition that x, y, and z >2. Right, bros? Where i is that common prime factor for A, B and C.
It follows:
Ax + By = Cz
Ax +B(x+3)=C(x+7) ;just picking randoms for y & z.
And everything is still valid for the integer conditions.
Ax +Bx +3B=Cx +7C - - - - - eq 1
We know: x>2, y=x+3 and z=x+7
Ax +Bx =Cx +7C-3B
Now we need to define what value of x makes it a prime and extract it out.
(I can’t go on. I won’t go on.)
Thank you. Now I give up already. I thought it was one of those basic number theory for small boys like me.
Math is not my major.
Lol.
I thought so at first, until I tried it. I hope someone gets it though.
If you have a Math PhD from Caltech or you’re B.D Gupta, well good luck. On reading failed attempts by Bros them, who am I to continue solving?
Actually Math was(and still) my best subject. In fact, it gives me a hard-on seeing equations and numbers.
Lemme not brag but: I was one time finalist in Nigeria(2004) by Mathematical Association of Nig, and top best 3 in Lagos (2005) by Logic. I’m dumb now though.
Math is beautiful and all of life is numbers and equations. Just breathe in the value of pi.
If you want to fall in love with Math: Watch Numb3rs(it’s a series using math and physics to solve crime) and Oxford Murders(a movie).

Have you read about the tau manifesto?
No. Pass the url, or lemme Google it. Interesting. I’m reading about it now here: http://tauday.com/tau-manifesto
