I don’t quite agree with the idea of bashing everyone because they choose to introduce themselves. @TemiL introduced herself as a newbie here and that in itself who make people feel obliged to welcome her, I think it’s the human to do. And guys are also warmer to ladies most times, also I think this is the natural thing. Communities will grow and take a life of their own, human interaction always enhances the quality of the conversation and guidelines will help ensure it stay true to it’s core.
