@MrBoy look at the topic of the thread. What is being discussed is Supermart’s customer service, not how customers should relate with customer service agents. We know we should behave decently, as humans, but right now, the point of this whole thread IS THAT A PARTICULAR STARTUP’S CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS BELOW PAR.

There. I hope you get it now. Seriously speaking, we don’t need the advice to be considerate. We know that. What we want is better service. Like someone pointed out, 1 dissatisfied customer ==> 1000 bad reports, 1 satisfied customer==> 10 good reports.

As for the rest of us, we will continue to cry out about bad services via any means possible and hold ourselves to higher standards because we want things to get better. We will not make excuses for mediocrity, rather we will hold service providers accountable for better delivery on our rights (value for money).

You ever wonder why e-commerce is still so alien to majority of Nigerians, even the internet enlightened ones(me included)? After all the money these guys burn on marketing. Its because of this kind of crap. This thread will probably end up in search results of thousands or millions of nigerian user’s searches. If any of them was trying for the first time they’ll be discouraged from buying anything online. I’m sure most people here have some interest in Nigerian tech ecosystem either as a founder/co-founder, cto or even wannabe founders, well here’s the news if this kind of customer service behavior is continued to be encouraged, more Nigerians won’t trust your Internet based services and that means your company can’t grow (at least not in Nigeria). And some people would come to here later to rant about how there’s only about 5 million Nigerians buying on the internet and how Nigerians don’t support tech startups because they don’t patronize them. Only telcos can get away with this kind of cc behavior because thier services are so fundamental and even they are buckling up, so what’s with all these smaller tech companies thinking they are so big?

This is one of the Stupidest replies I have read all week, over my various encounters all over social media. This is the kind of people that bring down companies, instead of trying to repair the company image by soothing the customer, you are making excuses for complete assholery on the part of supermart, and implying that it is the fault of the Client that he got shafted by supermart. I f I were your boss , I will fire you, If I were your business partner, I will exit the business, If you were a politician, I will do all I can to remove you from office.

Call it what you may, but I really get really riled up when people try to make excuses for idiocy.

Whats wrong with using their rating platform to rate your experience and no one has to know about it? would it not repair them enough? Do you even understand the concept of Confirmation Bias, Do you know anything in psychology at all? Say you re a driver under a company and i have used your service once and it was “Completely Awful”,How do you prefer i relate to you about it ? Do i tell you in person in attempt to improve you or Do i report to your company in attempt to alert them of their errs via human resources or Do i go about telling all my friends and strangers how awful you were ? Which is more effective? No one here is going to use supermart in full expectation to receive good service,And then again its just his first time shopping there , Bad service? Report to them. you re not the only freaking person using the service,are others complaining on blogs and forum too? These Forums Have strong SEOs ,they re definitely going to carry your ignorant stories around the web. Use your head next time, and i certainly can’t be your business partner,I can’t do business with people who can not use their brain.

How do you improve yourself? Do you do that by writing Blog Posts Or Forum Posts Of your flaws for people to cry with you? Or do you note faults and Improve yourself? If the OP lasted an extra Day before making this post ,Maybe he’d have been calm enough to take a more appropriate method to relay this message to the company by simply going to his mail box and clicking on rating links sent to him by supermart, They didn’t create this service rating surveys for nothing,All this Ranting and Crying was what it was meant for ,I mean this is very unnecessary.If you want to improve them ,Improve them alone ,Not Improve them and Scare potential customers away, This Post is going to pop up even in 2 Years and most readers wont even check the date to assume the intended improvement ,Its Just Unto the next one.
