SideClick - An Online Shopping Assistant (Please Review)

Hi Guys,

We’d be launching SideClick soon and we’d love to get your reviews on it.

SideClick is a chat-based online shopping assistant that gives users a personalised shopping experience. You simply chat with one of our new experts and we do the bulk of the work and get you what you want.

If you’d like to beta test, you can submit your number on our site and we’ll hit you up when we start testing.

Cheers!

Interesting, good to see somewhat of a fresh idea on here, signing up

Really fresh concept! Reminds me of Operator or Facebook’s M (both human curated but moving to machine learning/AI).

I think it works well for Nigerians as people are generally crazy about ecommerce/shopping and whatsapp as a platform to build on, is clever since it’s so widely used.

However for improvements; your FAQ needs to be more detailed (worth looping in some of how it works), eg include ‘Why you should use SideClick’ or ‘What are the advantages of SideClick’.

Also worth including a ‘Returns and Refunds’ tab. This will of course come in handy and deserves its own section.

Out of interest, why are you delivering to everywhere in Nigeria? It’s always curious when new start ups especially in ecommerce/logistics space start coverage with the whole country.

Finally something dodgy going on with the image loading…at least on a mobile (which is of course your primary platform). Good work in all!

Thanks @codegidi

Thanks for the feedback @PapaOlabode

Would add those to the FAQ ASAP

We’d also include more pages like returns and privacy policy soon.

As for the delivery, since we don’t handle any product, delivery coverage is same as that of any ecommerce store we use.

Would look at that image too.

Thanks.

No worries. Yeah do update when you guys go-live. All the best!

Thanks @PapaOlabode

I’ve made some adjustments to the styling that was looking dodgy on your phone. The obscured look didn’t turn up on my end, but I hope its fixed now. Please let me know if It’s fixed.

It actually appears to be a browser issue on mobile. So it works perfectly on Safari (see below) & Firefox but still the same issue on Chrome (see below).

Very strange. The problem doesn’t seem to come up in Chrome for android. Unfortunately I don’t have an iPhone to check with. I’d look into it further. Would probably find a cross-platform tester.
Thanks for the help.
