I like their API actually, I integrated with it once and it was seamless.
Canāt wait to hear @xolubiās experience of YC Demo day (His Digital Drift episode with @fran was interesting) I am more interesting in VCās disposition to funding minority in Tech. This guyās twitter storm about how hard our guys get funded is almost heartbreaking. It is a TechCrunch story.
@spokentwice That episode was actually recorded mid February - at a time we were still keeping the YC involvement under wraps. Thatās why you heard no direct mention of it. 
Regarding VCās disposition to funding minorities in tech, I would say I donāt think I have enough data to raise allegations against anyone just yet. Paystack is a company whose entire operations focuses on Africa. Many of the VCs are not used to funding outside the valley, or North America and very few understand the mechanics of African countries, much less the seemingly unstable Nigerian economy. It would be unfair to blame it on racism when passed over.
On the upside, there are investors who focus on emerging markets, or have divisions that do. Investor-founder relationships are like dating and it helps to do a little homework before courting.
