Payporte, Big Brother Naija & 25 Million Naira

Guys,

I am trying to make sense of the numbers/strategy that lead Payporte [Currently ranked 727 in Nigeria by Alexa] to become the headline sponsor of revamped Big Brother Naija.

I am not sure if missed it but I haven’t heard of any serious funding going Payporte’s way from investors [Local and/or International] so I am fuzzy about how they landed the headline spot coupled with the fact that there is N25 Million + a KIA suv catch for the winner.

I thought someone here may have some inside scoop or superior information to help me make sense of the entire arrangement or perhaps we wait to see how it all pans out?

Was about to start a topic on this until I saw this thread. Anyone got any idea why they did it and how it could potentially positively impact their numbers? Seems like on outrageous move to me.
