Online Tech Jobs In Nigeria

Hey Radar folks, I was wondering if there are any genuine websites that allow freelance kinda jobs for Nigerians by Nigerians.

Out of interest, do you mean Upwork or behance style but this time limited to Nigerians?If so, appears to me that there’s more upside for the developers in this model which makes it unlikely to work.

yes

and what do you mean by “upside”

So the way I see it, if there’s a platform restricted to Nigerians, the following 4 assumptions will probably hold true and make it more beneficial for developers;

  1. It’s fair to assume that the pool and supply of talent (eg IOS developers), will be small.

  2. And at this point, I’m not in any way referring to the quality of said talent.

  3. Naturally with basic demand and supply forces, this means developers will be in considerable high demand irrespective to the quality of work.

  4. They will eventually be paid more than they will ordinarily command in a open market i.e. one not limited to Nigerians.

To go further and explore how this platform might even work in practise, however this time from a customer’s perspective i.e. someone that needs a developer:

  1. Let’s assume that my customers have been clamouring for an IOS app as they want to use my application in store and at home.

  2. So I need an IOS developer ASAP and head off to the Nigerians only platform and see quite a few developers

  3. But crucially I can check elsewhere eg Upwork and see even more IOS developers i.e. more choices.

  4. Finally, why would I care to use the Nigeria only platform when this is basically a remote assignment that can be done anywhere else? (Please don’t mention patriotism, as the average entrepreneur is only ‘patriotic’ to his customers and profit).
