Please, I and couple of guys have been working on a product for some time now, its called OnKobo, a more feature rich version of Koumia (if you’ve been here for long, you might have heard (or seen) of Koumia, @xolubi will beat me here).
We have launched OnKobo in beta as a cashback platform (just like the defunct koumia), we will be releasing other features later next year.
What we do now is rebates (you shop or purchases online or offline from a partnering business and you get a small commission of your spending as cashback to your OnKobo wallet which can be redeemed as cash (for now)).
Please, it is functional but we know it might not be 90% ok to techies like we here. We have made it lightweight for now because of mobile device visitors (consume very less data).
And for Black Friday, that’s the best place to start your trip to Jumia, Konga and Kaymu (working on more merchants and hope to have @mark hotels.ng someday).
Please, I will be glad if you could try use the product and give us feedback. We’re looking to get more things included but we might be missing something very important that will come from you.
The homepage doesn’t give me a convincing reason why I should sign up. Clicking on the category links doesn’t show me products but tells me to sign up. I understand there is sign up for Facebook but what you want to do is minimize the cognitive load for users by showing them your inventory and how much they can save/earn by shopping with you.
Agree with with previous comment, your home page needs more work - not sure why the spotlight image / banner is placed behind a green tint and your fonts could be better.
Why have all the deals enclosed behind a login wall - in other words I could only see the cash back offers until I had logged in - u may want to switch this around. Anyway i was able to successfully login after registering.
Your entire model seems to be based on what is essentially deals, note that this type of model is always going to be loss leader for whoever is selling - unless you or them (by way of what they offer) focus on products with zero marginal costs. If you can successfully crack the model then you may be unto something.
In the mean time need your help to also test a new product I have been working on. Its a mobile app called GoodWealth and its been released into an open Alpha - you can download from the Google Playstore here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.app.goodwealth
This is one of the changes that’ll be rolled out in January once we update the homepage. We have this current page just to test rebate functionality. We’ll though maintain this through Black Friday and Christmas until January. We’ll sure add more details on how it works.
We are working on couple other features that will require basic KYC infos. Unlike the conventional ecommerce portal that allows guest sign-in/out, this registration is important for us and we are making it a priority for other services (coming soon). As for making the deals/offers visible, we’ll see to making some popular deals available to both login and guest users, that is a great advice @xolubi
Thanks man! Q1 & Q2 are already answered in my previous reply to the first feedback, Those are noted and we’ll sure improve on the infos, graphics as displayed on our current homepage.
Q3: as for [quote=“Olulakun, post:3, topic:9209”]
Your entire model seems to be based on what is essentially deals

To our users, deals ( as this enable them to purchase items and in turn save through cashback).
To us, affiliate ( we only rely on affiliate commission from partnering sites. This commission we share with our users who buys through our affiliate links hence, rebates). The cashback % offers are the commission values we share to any user who eventually purchases an item through our link. We’re very kind
We only rely on affiliate commission offerings from retailing portals and marketplaces. We will sure stick to offerings not higher than what we get from our partners. I doubt if any online only shopping (not related to any manufacturing firm) portal takes marginal cost into consideration, I believe that relies on the main seller of the item (as in marketplaces).
We believe, with people like you showing us kindness by using the portal
I will sure drop feedbacks on the GoodWealth app, thanks man!
