NIMC allows for people to initiate registration from the comfort of their homes–a laudable idea. Unfortunately, NIMC failed to purchase a working SSL for the enrollment page. Could this be as a result of the ‘Nigerian factor’ or a premeditated attempt to leave our data open for exploitation?? We once gave Sagem (a French govt linked company) contract for a national ID. Our current ID wears the MasterCard brand.
