I was too tempted to try PushCV’s own .
Anyway, I can say that we have never bought followers, and yet I can see “2,323” fake followers.
I think the algorithm disfavours REAL twitter account holders who are not actually “twitter people”, that is, people who just follow people “anyhow” or at random, people who do not tweet and in-turn do not have followers.
From what I can see, majority of Nairabet Users (who might be followers) are not going to be “twitter people” and therefore will be regarded as fake accounts by the audit algorithm.
Just my thoughts though, what do you guys think?
Well, if they are classified as fake accounts based on the parameters you mentioned, then it means they are not paying attention to (or engaging with) tweets from your account anyway.
You’re on-point @somtoifezue.
I use statusbrew and realised fake followers are mostly sorted by either of the following:
But @NairaBet’s Audit is off the hook. #SMH
Yes exactly … So it’s more like “Useless” followers, not “Fake” followers.
Anyway, it’s all english.
definitely, Nairabet’s Audit says a lot though.
You may not have bought any fake followers, but am sure there are robots out there that just keeps following and unfollowing users…
In my opinion, these robots can be considered to be fake as there is really no human to meaningfully engage with.
I know the guys that run Twitter campaign for NairaBET. The growth is all from Promoted Tweet… Showed me the screenshot, they’ve spent a lot to achieve this actually.
If real people click on the ad’s follow button they will appear as real people…when they eventually unfollow the count will drop as well…
If +60% of your followers are fake, then they are fake. It doesnt matter if they come via a promoted tweet or not.
This list ignores A LOT of startups. An overwhelming number of them with better numbers than the bottom 10 - aren’t on this list at all
This is 1 year ago as it shows (Same day and percentage-34% with the one @easibor posted.)
Analysis from one minute agoSo what did Nairabet do to convert 94,861 fake followers into real ones…
Note that the total number is still roughly the same… 144,385 vs 144,794…
Do I smell a fish in here???
@easibor …Maybe they paid Twitter Audit.
2 alternative ways of saying this:
Yoruba — Gbenu sohun
Gmail ---- Mic drop
You may call it “Gbenu sohun”, but data never lies…
If 94,861 was initially considered fake… this means they don’t interact… they don’t follow or unfollow… simply put, they are static in nature…
And now that number has dropped to 18,389… so are you inferring that they came alive and unfollowed you ? If they have the ability to come alive and un-follow then it means they weren’t fake in the first place.
So another plausible explanation is that someone read what twitteraudit checks for… then he/she made sure the 94k followers complied… a task that can easily be achieved using the same software that created them in the first place…tweet random tweets, follow and unfollow a few people etc
Lastly, what are the chances of getting the exact number of real followers to replace the fake ones you had before?
The people playing Aja 1 Gbera are not active on twitter…
Nigerian Startups on Twitter - April 2016
We are tracking startups that push commerce on their facility.
Let us know If we have missed some guys.
I think in your next list, you should, perhaps consider replacing easy taxi… A consensus can be reached here on radar, on which startup should take their place…
To put in perspective:
And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Care to elaborate?
