I think they are now realizing what they are missing in Nigeria. I remember I wrote to them just like many Nigerians have, that they are missing a lot for not including Nigerians, but they did nothing about it then.
Now they come when we are getting comfortable with ours.
Well, they will still have market share because many international users are very comfortable with them, and they have a very strong Escrow service which is automatic.
Our indigenous payment gateway just have to do more. I am sorry to say, some of them are not helping their customers at all and eventually themselves.
They should help some non tech users in providing FREE integration and other technical issues. Doing that will help them capture more market share.
PayPal has made their integration so simple that even if you never integrate before, you can do it smoothly (Just copy and paste)
Unlike ours. Even the tech supports are not willing to help. Even to pick a call is a problem and I wonder how they will capture the market share.
I love our indigenous payment providers but they most do better then what the are doing now.
And Honestly, I love Paypal.
If we are not careful Paypal will soon start accepting Naira. And you can predict what will happen to ours.
Radar is not an editorial platform, but if someone writes a headline that is misleading, like âBuhari has diedâ, and itâs discovered that that was in fact was not the case, it doesnât make sense to leave said headline as is. Especially since most people on the internets donât make it past the headlines.
Very true @malikcyparks. Paypal integration is sweet and awesome for so many platforms. I hope this is true as itâll be a dream come true. Yes there are good payment gateways in Nigeria like paystack and voguepay but Paypal is much more trusted all over the world.
If this is true, I think @Johnny should help us ask when this will be officially announced.
True, Paystack is good but there are Nigerian businesses looking to export services, digital goods and perhaps physical products to countries all across the world to people already use Paypal. Thereâs nothing as good as joining that and scaling up your business.
I started developing apps for Blackberry Appworld in 2013 and began selling apps on the same platform in 2014. Blackberry will only pay through Paypal, so I needed to use another trusted personâs Paypal account (outside the country) to receive payment⌠still in the middle of getting all my money from them⌠just because the initial Paypal account I registered canât receive payment.
This is good for Nigerian businesses and also a great opportunity to sell goods and services abroad in an easier and much more trusted way.
