Does anyone know the SMS Gateway Addresses of all African MNOs/Telecoms - MTN Nigeria, Globacom, Etisalat, Airtel Nigeria & Others In African Countries?
I’m interested in it too, I’ve searched and found nothing
I found this but it talks about:
Kenya
=> 254n@sms.celtel.net
=> 254n@safaricomsms.com’
South Africa
=> number@sms.co.za
I’ve seen that too and even for some strange countries but non for Nigeria
My brotha, I think I’ve found it for Nigeria:
Airtel Nigeria => phonenumber@ng.airtel.com
Etisalat => phonenumber@etisalat.com.ng
Globacom => phonenumber@gloworld.com
MTN Nigeria => phonenumber@mtnnigeria.net
What do you think is the best way to see if they work?
Lemme try sending a mail to my number, where did u see it? Cause I don’t think it’s on the Internet
Did you try it? Did it work for you?
Yes I tried it, didn’t work. I use mtn, don’t know about the others
Okay, thanks for telling me back to the drawing board.
I think
MTN Nigeria => phonenumber@sms.mtnnigeria.net or phonenumber@sms.co.ng
MTN South Africa => phonenumber@sms.co.za
What do you think? How do you feel?
sms.co.ng failed immediately but I have not gotten anything from mtnnigeria.net including fail message so even if it works, it’s too slow. But try other networks
Thanks for the quick response. Please try phonenumber@mtnonline.com or phonenumber@sms.mtnonline.com (both are for MTN Nigeria).
Not working
What about:
phonenumber@mtnonline.net
phonenumber@sms.mtnonline.net
phonenumber@mtn.co.ng
phonenumber@mtnonline.co.ng
phonenumber@mtn.com.ng
phonenumber@mtnonline.com.ng ?
You really really really think Nigerian telcos will allow such information to be in public domain?
It should be, they are public in other countries, even for the telcos operating in Nigeria. Mtn South Africa is available online, even airtel in other countries
I believe there is some way to get it because these websites or web apps use a specific gateway address that allows one to text from internet to landline &/or mobile phone and it works. I tried it for Nigeria and it worked well.
Someone must pay for the pipe.
i have tried searching for that a long time ago and i gave up…it was like a gulder ultimate search. you can try here they used to have this api that enables you to send messages within your app to mobile for a fee when you subscribe with them.
I feel you but what pipe are they using? It has to have some code format like phonenumber@domain. Or what do you think?
