Lagos In The Future?

From the mind of a Nigerian-born U.S.-based architect/artist.

“Lekan Jeyifo constructs architectural sculptures, installations and murals that convey social and political and economic issues throughout the globe. He is a Nigerian-born, Brooklyn (NYC) based artist…who after receiving a degree (in) architecture from Cornell University, designs creative architectural visuals. His project Shanty Mega Structures is an artistic rendering of Lagos in the future.”

The cable cars / gondola lifts make sense, as heavy traffic is still rampant from the picture. But the mossy looking shanty mega structures gives me a cringe at the futuristic Lagos. Well, except if it’s post apocalyptic; like something out of the 100 series.

But I saved Makoko @ Night as my desktop background for now.
