Keettu.com :review needed

Do you need me to be honest? I really don’t think you are doing anything. What do you mean by discover interest? What do you mean by have a bright future? What do you mean by conversational market? What’s the idea behind the double-e, double-t? Do you know you have just broken number 1 rule of domain naming?

These are vague ideas. They mean nothing. Why should anyone want to stay updated over a vague concept? Are you trying to build a community, or sell a product?

This is what I think: You are not ready for this. Seek an actual problem that interest you the most. Think rigorously about that problem. Seek for people in the domain of that problem, work with them, learn a lot, then proceed.

OP your design is horrible, even the website name leaves much to be desired let alone the problem you want to solve. Go back to the drawing board, come back and we would be waiting

  1. Design / Layout doesn’t deserve a re-visit.
  2. Your Radar OP says more about what you’re about to launch than the landing page.
  3. Unable to login / register: I tried to use incorrect details to login hoping I’d reach a page that allows me sign up, but the login form is unresponsive.
  4. The domain name could be better.

You’re better off sharing a few descriptive mock-ups than that link.

I am of the opinion that most comments here are rather too harsh.
Please, be diplomatic with your responses.

I believe the next guy with a relatively better idea would be thinking twice about asking for a review after reading this.

:+1: to the community.

OP. You asked for a review, on radar, you have your reviews. I don’t know what you were expecting? Applause? Now, take the points presented, Ignore your emotions, give it time and come back to stun us. It can only get better. May the Lord of Light guide your path

@Ayobami_Ogundiran - I am sure this is just the first version / prototype of the website, so just use this an opportunity to improve. So if I am just focusing on the only accessible and view-able page, here are my thoughts: your use of image, color can be better. The login section in the top right - not sure what you mean by Keetname (I assume this is meant to be some type of lingo for members within your service community - I would say for now just keep it simple, at least until such a community is established). Back to imagery, if you are really serious about this service, then I would suggest you take time to invest in some paid for stock photos - these will serve you well across several channels and not only the website - there are a ton of these stock photo websites online, just take your pick…

Our envisioned users are not as realistic as you and I; and as a contextualist who goes for what works but not what a person or myself thinks, I use "discover, brighter, future " all of which can raise the curiosity of our potential users. Probably it is the curiosity and inaccessibility( Which is intentional though) of the site that make many people here reacted as they did.

The responsiveness is done by separating its mobile from desktop because of its structure. I am fixing some mentioned errors but the name remains the same until I have solid reason to convince me that the Os in google , Ts in twitter and paystack or paystalk is causing them great problems.

I wrote conversational market because the platform is built to enable individuals or small stores showcase their wares on it, promote it in a different way and make them accessible…

I sense … the saying that “who does the job, same work different pays” works here as nobody here ( Maybe I am not aware of it) is confused with paystack.co or paystalk…

Anyway, I am not a badass programmer, but I will work hard to let my work do the talking.

Above all, whether you believe or not, I made the website inaccessible intentionally for reasons(experimenting something) but images issue and responsiveness palava… emanated from my stupidity which I can’t deny…

Baba you have a bad pitch, you have a micro niche and no market, if you dont pivot to a proper community for creatives you would have a dead product.

The End

I think I’ll really refrain from dropping reviews on Radar now. Do you know the standard rule is: your domain name should not have more than 3 syllables, and be easily spelt when pronounced(because you don’t want spell your domain name over the phone 5times), and that a dotcom is what you aim at?

But never mind, if you won’t learn, good luck with ketu. Cool you are comparing your domain name to Google and Twitter even without knowing the origins of these names.

Please don’t side track my point, I want you to convince me with fact… I know you want to help but you should know that to truly help someone that has a brain; you must give reasons and substantial evidence… Did you infer contempt in my comments…never … I did not post intentionally yesterday to use my head not emotion. So, let’s talk.

On what bases can you say that… @xolubi really got me, so he refused to review… He is very smart to have done that because it is only the product that can make you review a product properly. Thanks for your opinion anyway.

@ardeolar thanks but will it be unique… I don’t have money for stock images… I am not like most people here but I will make sure I buy it…

For people with brains, I find that reasons suffice most of the time. Just saying!

Thanks … you really give me something substantial.

Because I get paid to do this. Wait, I’m googling facts for you. I’ll be back in a minute. Wait ooo.

Such and such may help a brother, who knows? If you help me from falling, I will appreciate if I don’t have sufficient money; if I do, I will certainly pay… I think helping “wannabe” and others is one of the purposes of radar (if I am not wrong).

That is not a good excuse.
There are sites with very good free stock images. The ones that come to mind now are Stock snap, Unsplash. A Google search will turn up others.
More power to you.

Will it be unique…

Mr Man…if you pitched well to people from beginning, there wont be this issue.

it goes like this : Hi im xyz CEO of Keettu.com, i am currently in beta and i know i have lots of fixes to do on my web app/startup and i need your input, i am building a niche community for conceptualist/creatives and currently have a landing page, do you think this idea will fly? If No why and wat best to pivot to, if Yes, can you recommend how to be better’ its infinitely better than ’

Keettu.com is a conversational market and promotional network to ensure local and upcoming talents, brands, skills or anything is discovered, promoted, developed, accessible and useful to the world.’( Like break this down)

You can see this wont have had an issue, but you didnt, your platform doesnt communicate what you want to do hence you asked for a Review, so Recieve and collate you have no need to defend yourself, just take down points.

Yes… You get me there… That is actually better than mine… but if I didn’t make the mistake, you wouldn’t have taken your time to teach me this. Thanks a lot.

This is the kind of things I want to solve; If there is a platform where you can teach and receive payment from someone like me, won’t that be good instead of keeping such fantastic pitch when I need it? Such is one of the problem we want to address. Experienced people are not accessible and local talents are frustrated – and experienced people are frustrated when talents are not acccessible also…That is the analogy the landing page stands for ( I hope I didn’t do it the wrong way)… I felt that the best way to let people understand you better is to let them feel the problem.
