Introducing MediServe - The New WebApp for Healthcare Services in Nigeria

Hi guys,

We just launched a WebApp for Healthcare services in Nigeria www.mediserve.com.ng please check it out…

Its a portal where people can search for Medical practitioners, Private and Government hospitals close to them. Traditional medical visits to hospitals and other therapy appointments can require long wait times. You could spend hours in urgent care trying to see a doctor or book an appointment.

Healthcare system in Nigeria lags behind many other industries in harnessing the capabilities of IT to improve services, knowledge, communication, outcomes, quality, and efficiency.

With MediServe people can consult doctors and specialists online aswell as book appointments right from the comfort of their homes, offices and on the GO.

Your valuable feedback will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

This system need proper research because the health care situation in Nigeria from what I have heard is not good for now.

Thank you for the feedback…As technology improves every day, new developments are constantly infiltrating our lives. Breakthroughs in information gathering, research, treatments, and communications have given medical providers in more developed countries new tools to work with and fresh ways to practice medicine.

Hence, the motivation to bridge that gap by creating solutions that enables more people to use the Internet to research their medical issues. This means not only looking up symptoms, but exploring treatments and medicines on the web.

You need more field work here. Plus, I’m seeing physiotherapists being listed as doctors: this is wrong, unless such a physiotherapist has a doctorate and which should be clearly stated. This is to avoid people with medical conditions requiring medical doctors’ attention consulting them instead; you can never know how time lost in consulting the wrong health personnel contributes to a poor clinical outcome for the person involved

Thank you for the feedback from a medical point of view. Your advice has been taken to heart and it is being worked on. Please do not hesitate to point out more and better ways you think we can improve our user experience.

Cheers!
