Introducing Ionic Nigeria

So there is this thing called Ionic Framework, it’s the future! At least for me and a few other people that are enjoying the bliss of it. It’s a cross platform mobile application development framework that couples nicely with Angular Js and easily trashes Metoric. Built by Max Lynch and the wonderful folks at Drifty Inc, this beauty is totally free of charge!!!

Beng a full stack guy(I seriously think this word is overrated tho), I am in love with Ionic and I preach about it just as much as I preach about everything about Apple! Ionic has been generous enough to encourage adoption globally by backing people who volunteer to spread the word about their framework in their regions. Ionic is almost everywhere and I was shocked when I found out that they didn’t have the presence in Nigeria yet. Well that’s history, Ionic don enter Naija! Here is how you can get involved

You can also share some of the apps you have built with Ionic here on Radar. Looking forward to all the awesomeness. Kangpe and Barfinder by the Talented Damilare Akinlaja are some the cool things that we have found out so far and of course Tagchief was also built with Ionic!

We would be holding hackathons very soon so get ready to wrangle some code for some awesome prizes!!! I know say una like awoof!!!

I like ionic it’s good, it does its job well. But it’s not equal to a native app. If I have the time I will development native. If not, then ionic will do nicely.
