Introducing Dikalo. A new realtime messaging platform. Please review

Hello everyone,

I m Alain. Creator of Dikalo. This is my 1st post. So lease bear with me if I did nt respect any community policy.
I would love to introduce Dikalo to you.

Dikalo is a realtime messaging platform I ve been working on for the last 1.5 year.

I Know I know. You might now think. A Messaging App ? Yet another one ? In the age of WhatsApp ? Facebook Messenger, Google Allo, WeChat, Kik, Viber ? etc etc …

I truly believe YES. We need a messaging platform that works the right way.

So how is Dikalo different that other messaging platform ?

  1. No Phone Nr, No E-Mail, No social ID, No account required to communicate
    Just create a code/link share it and anyone with that code/url can write you in real time.
    Delete the link at anytime and no one can contact you again. Give you full control over your private data.

  2. Fully anonymous. Even when you do create an account. No Phone Nr involved. You get a private code that you can share with family/friends. Of course you still can create disposable codes like in (1)

  3. Anonymous public group conversation. Places where you can discus with others on topics that matters to you. Fully anonymous.

  4. And we are adding more stuff every day. Like the ability to lock your app instead of the entire phone.

We launched Dikalo on Dec 5th 2016. We are still in Beta and have now 500 registred users and around 2200 non registered users. We just passed 200M messages sent on Dikalo .

There is also a Android/iOS app we are working on. I will share the link to the apk here if there is interest.

Well, It will be good for those ‘I no wan make you munch my screenname’ type of sexchat…
and Those “I want to collect ransom from this people and I no wan make dem know my number”…

This is only when you decide to open an account. But that email never reach our servers in clear text. So an any point we have no idea who you are

Well we see a lot of people using for cases where the person is not supposed to be a contact. Selling/Buying stuff online. Instead of fake numbers/email generate a code that you delete later.

Sure. We currenrtly have 455 registered users and 2562 unregistered. And they all sent 200.123.468 messages (and counting)

In terms of weekly and monthly active users, what’s the figure like? This helps you to measure traction…

(Then you start worrying about server when users starts to stick around :slight_smile:

Currently we have around 1000 people daily. Despite all the bugs. So this is pretty encouraging. Hopefully I will see you guyz powering some public conversations soon :slight_smile:
