@Uduak, thumbs up , nice insights… @ogunalaolumide for how long will this be secret as you think? He just shared very interesting insights with a lot of guys which am sure 80% or more are nowhere near him as competition… Trade secret yes, but working tools haba, I can’t imagine …must startups/products from this side of the world are barely serving the market or standing with their two legs just yet…most competition is too weak to kill…and too weak to survive. The market is the competition.

Lol…I see…Let the sharing continue…I don’t know or understand how entrepreneurs would want to share their business insights and bulls eye marketing channel. WE ARE NOT FRIENDS
You guys have no idea how hard it is to get these things…You finally get it then you say share…lol
Keep sharing…
No wonder those that actually make money in Nigerian tech space barely talk here…
Its a cold, fierce and brutal hustle for customers out there…NO ONE SHARES THERE INSIGHTS WITH SCREENSHOTS…

@MrASulaiman : I dont read techcrunch that much. Discovered it was useless a long time ago. The ecosystems are soo different

@Possicon : How does showroom advertise. Please can you share a screenshot or excel sheet of your cheap and effective channel. Am curious and I need your help

@Oboraxe: 1. He sells recharge card, there are a billion other guys that do the same.
2.The only edge he can have is CAC (cost of acquiring customers) rentition is hard and very brutal so he has to keep acquiring for as long and as cheaply as possible. Instead of him to keep calm and figure out how he can achieve 0.00005 per video view instead of 0.003(yeah…with facebook you can do that), he comes here singing
3. He hasn’t learnt anything from sharing this information.
4.I immediately tested my Insta ad too and guess what i would be dumping more money on it than him

I personally run campaigns for several companies with great results. @Uduak made a mistake and no one is correcting him…Biko talk to peeps that make and spend money.

P.S: If you dont spend heavily daily(at least $50-$200) trying to acquire customers for your project/business/company. You dont really have the right to judge me…Just look, read and pass.
The ones that spend no what am talking about…The rest…not so much…
This Radar sha…lol…I shall not be commenting again

Bros, @ogunlanaolumide we arent advertising yet. By the way, no need to run away na, people are different and we perceive competition in differently. So, let people share information as much as they are comfortable with. I understand you are spending multi million dollars on ads for yourself and client, it’s all good!

So this is your definition of people who spend heavily in terms of digital advertising?

@ogunlanaolumide I am sorry for spoiling your own business. Now I understand why you are genuinely worried.

Remember that not every startup founder can afford to hire you. Most survive off google and forums like this in a bid to reduce personnel costs which is important in any serious organization.

I did a screen shot to show people how much 10k can help in advertising their startup. I will do it again and again and again. I am a PDP guy. That is how we roll. We share the loot.

@Uduak What was your CPC overall and CPC per link click. Also please what interest based targeting option did you use?

Is that why you barely talk here?

Ah, okay. Keep that money rolling in bro. :+1:

Now I know the 3 prayers to say to God

  1. Let me have ‘these things’ if it’s your wish
  2. However give me a little wisdom and humility, so I don’t sprout vitriol all over the place, when I have ‘these things’
  3. Finally, as I’m only human, so pls when I’m boastful, let it be among children so they’re none the wiser.

Thx

Who is @ogunlanaolumide and what century is he living in? 18th?

One of Y Combinator’s biggest advantage is their knowledge base and advice. They started a Stanford class and made it free for everyone.

I am not even interested explaining. If you just don’t get it, never mind. Hoard whatever precious metals you think you have.

It is more blessed to give than to receive

… unless @ogunlanaolumide says otherwise.

Well this was insightful,

@ogunlanaolumide 200 dollars in advertising is not huge. I spend 450 dollars or more on Facebook daily and I know i am very very very small compared to the big guys out there.

Sharing is good for our start-up economy, it helps us evolve faster.

Lastly I am having issues setting up an instagram ad, is it already readily available for everyone in Nigeria yet or do I need to activate my VPN?

You can access it via Facebook for business, adverts manager and power editor

searching for the mistake

Please share your results. I am curious and your results would be helpful to me.

@xolubi but u can easily click on my name and you see that I actually do talk here na…The ones I know that make the bucks (they are most likely reading this) never ever comment bruv. They just laugh

@akamaozu You should go to church brother. That is more useful there. I still believe it is perfectly normal to keep your bulls eye marketing channel a secret. I know everybody does.

@JesusChrist lol…Jesus…I said at least na 50-200 na…shebi u saw “at least” Highlighting that part of the gist doesnt even make any point btw. and yes insta is ready available for Nigerians. It has been so for over 2 months. They allowed advertisers with bigger budgets to start with Peditor before permitting the whole public (you spend $450 and you dont know this?)

@PapaOlabode I merely corrected what I feel is an error by Uduak for publishing his numbers. Instead of you to make cogent points, your saying this…Lmao… Who am I kidding…Your Nigerian…You don’t see facts…You see a boastful dude and then you “pray” not to be like him…Your like those government workers that would not attend to you because “you didn’t greet them when you entered”
May God answer your prayers.

But are you really ‘boastful’ or you’re just stating facts when you allude to all your achievements?

BTW, I like how you generalise to compare me with ‘government workers’. It’s not even a diss in my books.

@PapaOlabode but you dont even know my achievements.
“You guys have no idea how hard it is to get these things…You finally get it then you say share…lol”
If you think that is boastful… I have nothing else to say to you… I didn’t even mention that I have achieved anything at all…Am still trying to figure out “these things”
Boss, if you feel that is boastful. You need to check your esteem bruv…(now that was the first attempt to be arrogant and boastful with a diss  )

In any case…this was fun…we should have a post about this. “Do you consider sharing your bulls eye marketing channel good or plain stupid”…I like the topic already

Very nice info!

I have a better idea of a blog post. When it’s ready, I will definitely share with you.

Enjoy yourself though, you sound like a very pleasant person.

ZING!!!

lmao
