I have nothing to say about Linda. Seun on the other hand is of interest to me. Some time in 2013 when lindaikeji was having 2.9 million hits a day, nairaland was getting 4.2 million hits daily and a website (worthofweb) put nairaland’s value at $78 million. I did all I could to seek seun osewa out to no avail. I even met a guy who tried to place a banner for a bank on nairaland for a month but nairaland couldn’t take a banner that’s 600px wide.
It’s one of two things…Seun is either extremely insecure to accept help or extremely uninterested in monetizing nairaland.
I guess he’s one of those guys who believe in open source and sees nairaland as his gift to humanity. I stand to be corrected though.
Dont take panadol for Linda’s headache. When that “avalanche of happenings” start, no one will tell her what to do. She will know what step to take sharp sharp
lol @sugabelly I agree with you. She just copies and paste stuff, uses just one paragraph and sends readers to third party websites. At least polish it a bit and summarize the story like other news agencies does. And yes, i’m quote disappointed that she still has the .blogspot.ca in her URL. so unprofessional. But then again, she writes for a caliber of readers who don’t see tiny details like that.
Hmmmm, I think her business philosophy is to bring interesting content(wherever the source comes from)not necessarily with the best of technology…her average audience are not geeks…
Do what works and improve on it
