lmfao. chill small na
Then while not take time and create an MVP. Because while you are sugar coating your idea, someone else is already working on it. Besides both Snapchat and Instagram are not resting either.
This I like. This you should listen to.
Please tell them o. They think them snapchat instagram and co are just waiting around for competition. If you are âseriousâ, then your approach to this will be quite different. A lot of the guys here want to see your idea in the works rather than hearing you hype it up.
I use neither, be rest assured I wonât use yours!
Guy this is where you lost me, Thier will never be another Zuckerberg but maybe a Rollingstone. Stop worrying about others and focus on your app. Get your MVP up and running, Itâs cheap to build a build a prototype these days.
Brother focus and work on it!
When we started BeepTool in Nigeria its was like nothing will work but today like Joke its everywhere today
Donât be discourage at all!
Enoh
What is BeepTool?
Oh my, what a baptism of fire for this new entrant into the tech scene. From my experience, people who just want to be the âidea guyâ donât take the time to dig a bit and educate themselves on at least the basics of the sector they want to tackle. I know this cause I was once the âidea guyâ myself and got frustrated that no one was willing to partner with me on my killer idea . Not even my small sister was willing to partner and do some typing work for the company!
@Rollingstone Iâm willing to bet that youâre in a similar situation as I was in the beginning of my journey. Maybe youâre lacking capital so you want to use partnerships to get over that hurdle. In my case after experiencing a lot of heartache in pursuit of partners, I just decided to knuckle down and go it alone, teaching myself everything necessary as I went along. I went alone until I had a bit of money after two years to just hire people outright cause I found that partnership in exchange for equity just doesnât work in Africa. People need to pay rent my guy while banks and investors are very mean in these parts. Anyway, take from my story what you will.
Okay, I thank everyone here for their opinion and suggestions, guess I just have to go back and save ,then get people to work on my Idea.
Your idea has a higher chance of success if you have some of the skills needed to execute on it, rather than relying (solely) on others.
Sorry about being on the receiving end of Radar's trademark Baptism of Fire; hope your temperature is back to normal. Welcome to Radar.
Product vs System⌠So many great-idea-ers
A young man wasted my call credit few days back having placed a call to him .
He wants to build a social network with opportunity to share files between users.
I tried to make him see understand the backbone behind facebook and google plus and why a _âme-tooâ approach might not work out even when he has huge funds to spread about.
Unless itâs a different approach in your localityâŚme-too ideas usually fail even when you have a solidly built system and loads of cash to throw aroundâŚ
Neither your original nor edited message has clearly stated what youâd like to accomplish with this post. Are you looking for developers? Funding? Partners? Mentors? Think tank perhaps? Or you just want to let us know you have a great idea and we better watch out for it, because it might be so great that we just die from the sheer enjoyment of using it? Sign up > Login > Die From Enjoyment.
Sounds like if we follow you go, na enjoyment go kill us.
Anyway, Iâm a firm believer of Belief. Meaning, if you believe you have a great product, then go after it. If you fail, you fail. If you succeed, then great.
Powers to you, my brother.
Honestly I thought the op was a programmer quoting what someone else said until I read the threadâŚ
I think you handled the backlash and criticism very well. Please donât lose this trait. Please.
All the best in your endeavours.
i checked your beeptool, but its so awesome but i donât understand why i havenât heard about it⌠how well are you getting into the student market?
We are planning to start Road show campuses soon!
But organically it is coming up seriously @Psalm
It and we are working to see how we can work with alot of other company as partner to make sure we integrate everyone to our services and especially making our app to be use by phone users without internet access in Nigeria and Africa.
Thanks for visiting the site
That there is great advice.
ignore our the tone of our somewhat âharshâ criticism, but donât loose the message, itâs mostly borne out of lots of experience.
If you believe in your idea, then push for it⌠learn more about it, find a co-founder/co-founders, save money⌠do whatever it takesâŚ
Youâll either succeed (awesome), or fail but either way, youâll have learnt a LOTâŚ
like they said
