How well do people outside Lagos use ecommerce services?

Until very recently, I had this belief that data about Nigeria (such as size of industry, trends, and others you might need to make informed decisions) was very difficult or impossible to find online. Apparently these data exist already online but are too few that you need the right keywords to fetch them out.
Ecommerce is the biggest thing right now and with many ecommerce services popping up all over the place, I have been curious to find out how well people use these services outside Lagos. I had a chat with the delivery guy from one of the ecommerce giants yesterday and he said there is always a delivery to make in Ibadan everyday, with over 15 drivers. Well it is easy to assume that the general ecommerce companies are doing great outside Lagos but are they really? How well will a service like Supermart do outside Lagos?
These and many more questions have been bugging me and I am curious to have an idea of the real state of things.
If you are as curious as I am to find out, please share this survey link with your folks based in Ibadan.

Opted to start with Ibadan because it seems like the next market to move into after Lagos (based on market size). Hopefully more cities will be surveyed in the coming months.

Thanks

You should consider Abuja early in your survey as well. The results may surprise you.

Yeah i will definitely. thanks

Ibadan is sure a next big market but I’ll consider Abuja and the rest of Nigeria, PH,Owerri etc first, from my own experience in e commerce.

Abuja is doing really well. Benin is very great also. Its time we look beyond Lagos.

Would you like to share why you think other places should be considered first before Ibadan?

I dont think Ibadan is as open to e commerce as others I listed as in trust, know how and willingness to use it. I ll suggest u dont make Ibadan ur only target market. I maybe wrong tho.

Maybe Abuja. Not sure of PH.
Don’t use Ibadan and ecommerce in the same sentence:grinning:

Thanks a lot for your comment but you see, that has been most people’s opinion and i don’t seem to find any available data to back it up.
The aim of the survey is to get this data and have a clearer idea of how things really stand. Please do share the link.
