LOL! Seriously?

Lol! Omona they didn’t! This can only happen in Nigeria. Jonathan’s internet and TV campaigns are prime examples. If you can’t win, then beat and bash the competition.

Actually it happens everywhere.
Apple vs Samsung
Coke vs Pepsi
Oreos vs Everyone else.
MTN vs Etisalat vs Glo

Decent bashing helps for cheerful competition over TOMA.

Arggh! Only in Naija. In other climes, they will be selecting members of the jury by now.

OMG! real shot fired. I like it though.

Right? Remember Apple’s Mac vs PC ads? This hardly feels scandalous.

Gbam! Really creative ad but Kaymu is hardly on the level of Konga. The only similarities between them is that they are marketplaces, but where Konga is an organised Alaba/Balogun, Kaymu is just a little bigger than Jakande market or Sabo market

This type of comparative advertising is fairly common in the UK especially with supermarkets. They have rules to ensure that it is not misleading or unfair. Not sure if Nigeria has any similar laws.

This comparison doesn’t even make sense. Konga is your regular online marketplace while Kaymu is a deal-of-the-day type service. Like @tsmalz said, the same price gap would have been seen if they had compared themselves to Jumia instead.
