Fresh Feedback for Vibeoo - Audio On Demand

Hello Radar Community,

Glad to bring our audio content on demand platform - vibeoo.com back again for your valuable criticism and feedback ( Share anything Negative, Positive or Neutral to help us improve and learn )

Would really appreciate if you visit and tell us what you think - Currently we’re also looking for New Shows to archive and will appreciate if you also share links of your favorite podcast / radio shows that we can contact and archive.

A planned launch for April is in the works as we officially move out of BETA and share more information of what our idea’s Business Model is all about.

Cheers and Thanks in anticipation

Beautiful design, easy to navigate, professionally built. You are onto something great with this.
Footer links dont work ehh? So many other links too. You gotta fix that.
I think comedy and dj mixes will be most popular of all categories.
Are people going to submit content themselves or you plan to curate content yourself? Personally I feel a community of people posting content and ability to follow other users and subscribe to their content would have a broad appeal. I would pay to subscribe to IGoDye’s channel.
Good luck.

WIP on the links … but we’d be ready with most by the time we launch!

The positioning for us is different from the likes of SoundCloud - We’re curating the content to ensure Quality and as we grow, we’d have dedicated accounts for content creators who are signed up as curators

I like the sound of an iGoDye Channel

Well i must confess, this is one of the best designs i’ve seen in a long time and i can’t believe this is actually made locally. But looking deeper into the design its like your designer left the company or another theory will be that you just got the theme somewhere online and couldn’t designed it like it has been done. Seeing two different avatar for user one appropriate and one really weird, same thing goes for the playlist, total disorganized, just the few i’ve noticed.

There’s still a lot to be done though, so keep up the good work, but i hope you have a good plan for a fullscreen player with a live updated side playlist.

Good luck and well done.

lol at “the designer left the company” … more like the UI / UX person has a 9 - 5 though!

No Theme - Totally built from the ground up … and mocked up in CorelDraw just for kicks!

Thanks for the feedback on the different avatar ( would fix that soon )

considering the playlist - do you mean the order the episodes are arranged?

Can you also shed more light on a “fullscreen player” and “live updated side playlist”

I was expecting the second line to be like this “Glad to bring our video content on demand plattform”

Vibeoo says Video, Vibeoo is actually Video without the ‘d’.
Audeoo seems like a better fit if you have plans to pivot.

Thanks … it’s actually pronounced “veeb-eoo” and names can be tricky, but stick! We can’t pivot on name though as we’ve built a brand identity around it… and the name does have a meaning for us the founders ( it was initially ( vibe + infinity … lol! Don’t ask me how and why )

Focusing on the platform? Any other feedback we can learn from with interacting with it?

Ok, am not talking about the arrangement, it doesn’t just follow the theme design language.

I believe there’s a reason for going with dark design in the first place, but if you haven’t done your research, you can check the history of spotify, they started with white background after considering some UX test, they found out black background is better and that decision was based on the playlist (song list).

When i referred to fullscreen player, what was on my mind was youtube, you know how they first have the front page just like yours where the items are listed and then when you play they transfer you to page, a whole full screen player is displayed with your playlist at the right so you can tell whats playing next.

If you follow this enough, i think this project might even grow into live broadcast, even podcast that people might what to comment live.

Best regards.

I get what you mean now … actually updates have been implemented in batches so we are making a transition away from that “dark black feel”

Attached a look and feel that gives you an idea … does this rhyme with the playlist?

Totally appreciate your feedback and ability to see the genuine solution here - I’m personally looking into a livestream feature without coming off as another “online radio platform”

It’s still a longer route for a start up to take. Marketing is about perceptions. Perceptions can be manipulated based on esisting associations in the consumer’s mind. There is a time and place to reinvent the wheel (disruption). It is more cost effective for marketing ROI to lean on a name that either is non aligned with either “video” or “audio” or one aligned with “audio”.
If the name is aligned with “audio” half the battle of positioning or explaining what you do is solved. The other half would just be “oh, we are AUDIO ON DEMAND”…never miss a broadcast ever again…yadda yadda yadda.
Option Two like I mentioned above is to go for a name that’s completely non aligned then build it bottom up, like APple did for Apple…a fruit name for a hardware company in the 80s was disruptive cause it was fresh and easy to remember.

Vibeo may have emotional attachments with the founders but this is business. You want to get into the consumer’s mind and pocket or what? Good luck guys!

Great insight Chief and Thank you for the elaborated contribution.

I guess our Marketing Communications team has their work cut out … naming is really an Art vs Science topic I usually try not to push too hard.

At some point, we got confused with “Vimeo”

But ideas are like Babies and ours is almost 4 Years old, we intend to do “Magic” on this … wish us luck!

Any Feedback on the Product - using it? Please share

Grammar. Errors in grammar always make a website look unprofessional, no matter how well laid out the design is. Find a grammar nazi, or someone who simply writes well to review your web copy. You can’t do it all.

“Tourist” require no login should be “Tourists”. Keep the language simple as well. “Tourists do not need to login” etc.

Recent updates from 2 months ago makes it look as if your site is not active, no one wants to hang around a place things are not happening ( Would you comment on a forum that where the last comment was 2 months ago?). I assume this is because you’re still in testing mode, if you want to go live, fix it.

Integrate Disqus for your site comments. No one wants to be bothered to register and go through hoops just to comment. Comments also make your website seem active so you want people to be able to comment as easily as possible.

Nonetheless, well done, perfection is a gradual process and the important thing is movement.

Thanks alot Chief.

Well received and we’d implement immediately

Nice… For now everytin is fine for me… Keep the good work.

Hi Chinedu,

There hasn’t been any noticeable update since your last feedback request. So I am wondering what extra feedback you are looking for? maybe from a different group set. I will drop a few comments tho.

– My feedback –
DESIGN
Everything is fine except some UI bugs on mobile, the color combination needs some work, i think you can do more to beautify the site and project its content, the dark barkground becomes a tad annoying on wide screens.

MOBILE APP
For this service a mobile app would be the ultimate fit. Users gets alerts on their favourite shows, they can save content for ofline listening, The service is easily accessible, its makes it more tangible like actual radio ( which i believe is the industry you are trying to disrupt)

CONTENT
Craiglist and Nairaland have thought us regardless of UI/UX content is number one.-
Content is severely outdated, trending content is from a year ago.
Content is rarely added
Lacks variety of content

Regards.
King Namo

Thanks Bruv…

Lol … Actually there has been some - for instance you don’t have to be logged in to play Audio Content anymore

And some other UI Fixes under the hood to make the site faster.

Share the UI Bugs on mobile (hopefully we don’t miss it)

App is in the works … and it promises to be something totally fresh.

Yeah! I share a screenshot of the new look and feel we’re deploying on the 18th of April

Can’t have enough feedback with product design

On Content

You are spot on … actually we’re at a bit of a cross road

  1. In order not to be another soundCloud, we want to heavily curate our Audio Shows, this means

  2. We need more manpower for now, then move to automation

  3. Verified content creators can manage their page

What you are witnessing is a Business Model in the true test of the word - if we crack it! We’re good
