Yh this episode (5) was good!

LOL @akamaozu asking/insinuating if one of the ladies goes topless to work. +1 on having Erikan as a host or something similar.

Checked out @ireaderinokun’s Owomida. Quite dope! Guessing a mobile app for this is in the works.

First time hearing of those projects from your other guests too so I might just follow them on Instagram.
Aaand with the way they talked about instagram maybe something like Social Chain may work in Nigeria.

@akamaozu brilliant! brilliant!! thoroughly enjoyed your latest episode and I have gone on to start from episode 0 to latest…lol…love how you guys bantered over if it would be called episode 0 or 1…lol

Meanwhile, thanks for brining the ladies on the show. I have had it on my to-do list for a while to find a group that does Nigerian Tourism coz I do believe there are still dope places in this country to see. Thanks to Crudcast… I might just be in time for Social Prefect’s next Badagry tour…
Please keep them coming!

Meanwhile, for @PapaOlabode and any others who might be interested, there’s the Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders podcasts from Stanford University’s Tech e-Corner if you’ve not heard about it. It’s a weekly dose of insightful tech entrepreneurial wisdom from startup (and the big goons) guys from all around silicon valley and beyond. I’ve been hooked a long time ago!..lol…you would find some brotherly names worthy of mention there like Chinedu Echeruo of Constant Capital Partners. Hope someone finds it useful. Enjoy!

What type of camera or phone did you use for the pictures?

Honestly, I don’t understand why we use foul language in tech blogs and podcasts??? It’s really annoying. How would we now encourage kids to learn from these blogs without supervision? This is all Jason Njoku’s fault.

Tf? And who should we blame for this new fad of getting upset/offended on behalf of other people? You can say it makes you uncomfortable without the pretense of bringing children into this

Before Jason, folks have been cursing. Read hard things about hard things by Ben horowitz, and I dare you to list the number of fucks you find.

Fuck is just a fucking word to drive home the fucking point. Words on their own have no morality(or otherwise).

*Fuck is just a fucking word to fucking drive home the fucking point. Words on their fucking own have no fucking morality(or fucking otherwise).

Corrected. :joy: Please pay the word it’s total dues.

@xolubi, @akindolu.
You may curse all you want anytime, but it won’t make it right.
That people have been cursing in their blogs/lives does not make it ok, normal or worthy of emulation to do so in your own blog or podcast.
It’s not a matter of me being uncomfortable, it’s a matter of professionalism and decency.
I have followed you guys for a while now and have respect for you and your work, but it scares me to see us use curse words even on articles on techcabal (not radar) and I humbly plead that we do not let this habit creep into this ecosystem. It’s bad enough that many of the songs you hear have obscene lyrics/videos.
God bless the Techcabal family.

I find it funny you have concluded I am trying to emulate anybody. That is exactly what I am questioning… that, and the moral high ground route you’re taking. It simply means you fail to grasp the point of the podcast, and that’s okay.

Its rather weird though that you chose to bring your moral values (considering the reference made to obscene videos) into what is supposed to be a natural and casual conversation between friends rather than just ignoring it or not listening altogether.

In the event you still don’t get it, here’s some guy that does a good job of articulating my position. https://zachholman.com/posts/swearing/

P.S. I’m far from religious but I am not making an ass of the fact that you said “God bless” in your last response because why should I? Why should it bother me? Live and let live. :slightly_smiling:

@Chisomy_SOG does bring up a very good point though.

It would be pretty nice if what we do is something that can be listened to by younger people who find technology interesting.

We’ve already made a moral stand about making the community more friendly for women in a previous episode.

Are we drawing the line at women but not minors?

Sounds like we would be deleting the episode where we discussed pornography and rename the show DisneyCast :grinning:

Wow, this is quite the pickle y’all are in

Not only us.
